The shut down thread

Be an interesting poll. Betcha you'd be surprised about how many Trumpers would support snipers at the border. I'd guess it'd poll at 15%.

Is there a particular reason you like to make such outrageous statements and generalizations? Is it simply to troll and piss people off, or do you really believe everyone who supports Trump is a heartless tool?

Says the guy who has over played the red hat thing...
I don't even consider you one. You obviously don't see a wall all across the border as the solution and you would be best off not parroting the redhat dims flip flop tripe. The middle ground is good so no use throwing rocks at people beside you. Quit being petty.

The Trump whisperer backs it

And you think she speaks for every Trump supporter? I'll agree there are some bad apples in the bunch, but not everyone is that radical. FTR, I disagree with the generalizations made about Dems as well. Some bad apples, but not all are lunatics.

Didn't say all were bad. But with a little PR work on Fox emphasizing the sanctity of property rights and that these are "foreign invaders" bringing drugs and diseases (and throw in a dollop of deterrence arguments for good measure), I do think it'd poll at about 15%. In truth, some of that would probably just be people trying to "own the libs" with their response and they would never support it in practice.

Remember, separating infants and toddlers from their mothers got a surprisingly high level of support among the base.

Polls: Trump’s family separation policy is very unpopular — except among Republicans

It's not a game, just pointing out the fallacy of your statement. I will agree that there are probably places where an investment in a wall will be worth it but there are places where it's not.
Let me ask you a question. Lets say this new caravan of 10,000 plus walks to a place that has no wall and starts coming across. How do you expect 50 border agents to stop them?

A wall can't go across the whole thing, geography for hundreds of miles wouldn't allow it and nobody is even able to cross there anyways. It's the gorge of the Rio Grande.

I also remember Dems didn't get outraged at separations until it was Trump doing it.

As far as "foreign invaders", anyone crossing illegally, for that matter anyone who is already here illegally, is a foreign invader. Now, I don't agree all are bringing drugs or carrying deadly diseases, but some probably are, which is why they need to be screened. And anyone crossing or living here illegally is indeed a criminal as they have broken and continue to break the law. I'm all for immigration as long as it's done legally. And while we're talking about narratives being pushed, let's mention the CNN narrative that people against illegal immigrants are racist. Since when did expecting people to enter this country legally become racist? We should know who is entering our country. That's not racism, that's common sense.

Yeah, I think she's got her finger well on the pulse of the average trump supporter. She knows what they want to hear, don't front.

Then I'd call you an idiot, even though I know the truth is you just enjoy being an ass and starting arguments.

And I mean that in the nicest possible way.

It seems your position has evolved.
No it hasn't, been saying this for weeks. The White house layout of where walls(plural) are needed was sent in detail to Senator Shelby back in November. A little research will show we have a wall, fence, chainlink on 1300 miles of the 2000 mile border already. That leaves 700 miles with 3 to 400 that has 100ft gorges on both sides of the Rio Grande. That leaves roughly 300 miles needing a fence that can accept it topography wise.

My (plural) above is that the detailed layout to Senator Shelby showed 4 different towns/locations getting sections of walls. It isn't just one long wall the 5B is going to pay for.

It’s her estrogen getting out of whack.

Fear monger much. Most drugs come through ports of entry.
Here, lets do it this way.

How many % out of the 10,000 coming across has a backpack full of drugs?

How many % out of the 10,000 coming across has committed a crime from domestic abuse to murder?

How many % out of the 10,000 coming across is in a gang?

How many % out of the 10,000 coming across is part of the cartel?

How many % out of the 10,000 coming across has some kind of thrid world country sickness we defeated 60+ years ago?

How many % out of the 10,000 coming across has different intentions from the "just coming for work" narrative?
