The shut down thread

I have a buddy who hunts on the border. His dad has been leasing a place for over 20 years. He says you have to be really careful going to and in the deer stands because the illegals will get in them to sleep and take sh*ts. They steal stuff and vandalize all of the equipment. He said every time single time they go, they see them just walking through the desert. The have Border controls number and call them from the stands. They watch them swoop in to gather them up..
So they are not hunting animals? I suggest they quit calling in the Agents because that can't be good for hunting. Every single time. Maybe another spot would be better.

Admitted that sounds like fun though.

I know this didn’t go over your head. But they deer hunt, when the illegals come strolling through, the hunt is screwed up at that point....

If people came tromping thru my hunt
every time single time
then I would find another place. I hunted near the border a few times when I lived in AZ and never saw anything like that

Like I said, they have least it for over 20 years and the price hasn’t changed. That’s the main reason they don’t move. I’ve never hunted in TX or AZ, so I don’t know what any of y’all have or haven’t seen..

But you said it happens every single time. Why continue to hunt a lease where you're going to get that kind of intrusion. They're either not very smart hunters or are the kind prone to telling stories. Hunters like to embellish sometimes

Let’s think this one through. I’ll start it like this. If you live in Tennessee and have a lease on the border in Texas. Would drive all the way down there to hunt one day or would you hunt a week or 2? Seems smart to me to pay less than most everyone else and still get to hunt and kill deer...

You simply aren't killing deer if people are walking the land "every day" and border patrol is swooping in on their atv's "every day" to round up illegals. If I'm leasing land to hunt I choose one without all those features. That is the smart thing to do

It’s not an emergency. Is it a concern? Sure. That’s all. It’s a bs thing for Trump supporters to latch on to. That’s all.

I have no idea why they go, maybe they just like it. The dad goes a lot more than my buddy.
Why not go right, something different. I would given the chance because it did sound fun even without a gun. It might be in an area that could use a little border wall or technology or manpower, IDK.

It sounds like they have a blast when they go. There is a cabin on the place and the owner only leases to them and no one else uses anything there. They have a pretty good set up from what he’s told me. I’ve been asked to go a few times, just couldn’t get my schedule worked out were I could make it.

The district he represents is largely Hispanic , probably by more than 50 to 60% and steadily increasing. Also, he represents a true swing district in Texas, which is unusual. Not only has Hurd rejected Trump's plan for border security, but was also against the 2017 EO barring those from 7 muslim majority nations.

He has some impressive credentials but his track record of voting on immigration issues and social programs are reflective of his district's demographics.

Or his voting record reflects the actual situation that you refuse to acknowledge. You prefer the confirmation from a couple of friends over a guy whose district covers 40% of the state's border. You see what you want to see

Or he is on the payroll of the cartels or his family has been threatened. It’s already known the several police agencies on the US side of the border work for them, specifically in Brownsville, Texas. I wouldn’t trust any politician that opposes the wall.

Clearly that's the most logical conclusion
