I'm not at all concerned with whether other people liked it. There were parts I liked. There were some very Dem concepts in there, such as protecting coverage for preexisting conditions and mandating that employers give their employees family leave. These are regulations, sir. On businesses and insurers. Why so quiet about them?

Funny how the GOPers have stayed mum about those notions, and instead just keep talking about their red meat issues for the base, like the wall.

What would be terrible for the country? Another shutdown that accomplishes little, further increases the political divide, results in another CR that adds to the deficit, but leaves the US in the same position in the coming months facing another shutdown.

So probably yes, another shutdown. I don't see any way the R and D party ever work together in the next 10 years when the only goal appears to be antagonize the other.

Someone needs to throw down the gauntlet. If the TSA cannot stop 80% of threats in simulation exercises, the TSA needs to be disbanded.
