I don't trust him. Period! But it must be done. The cards are on the table now unless someone has a pocket ace.
Missed my chance to say CHIPs.
I think they have to decide if this is the best they can do or if they can get something more firm than "my intention".
Even if he did keep "HIS word" there is no guarantee the President will sign anything, despite him saying he wanted a "bill of love" a couple days ago and that he would sign whatever bipartisan bill they brought him.
We shall see I reckon.
Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Illinois) called Trump "a five deferment draft dodger" and once again called him "Cadet Bone Spurs" after Trump said the Democrats were "holding the military hostage" in a tweet. Will be interesting to see if he responds. This is the third time she has called him that.

Your talking points are showing. Bill Clinton never gained 50% of even the popular vote while voter turnout hovered in the mid 50's during 92 and 96. He didn't win a majority. He won a plurality. Obama did win more than 50% of votes registered, but this is again based on turnout slightly above 60%. He registered in the low 30's based on total eligible voters. Neither party can claim a majority of Americans, and it's not even close.

Good points. I'll amend my "talking point" to: in the last 6 national elections, out of the people who voted for one of the two major parties, democrats had a majority.
This was all in response to the dope who was saying something about dems continuing to lose elections.
Now this is cute.
Libs have lost over a 1,000 seats since 2009 and you fail to see it.
Your party is done in its current form...
Were not even a national party at this point, Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Ohio, said last month as he made a failed run at the House minority leader position. We have some support on the coasts, but weve lost the support of middle America, and weve got to make some changes. So Im pulling the fire alarm here, because the house is on fire.

All progress and advancement is not due to liberal politics. That is not the logical extension of what I said. (at least that wasn't my intent)
I agree with your second point but it gets complex in a hurry. I think trump would say his goal is to have a clean and healthy environment. The battle has to be in the way he claims that can be achieved. The goal of having good and affordable health care for all citizens is an easy one to agree on. How to reach that goal is where the battle takes place. The goal of having a fair and equitable tax system is an easy one to agree on. What that actually means and how to reach that goal is where the battle takes place. Goal setting is the easy part.
