A few may feel that way, but more would feel that way about universal healthcare. I think you may be on to something.
What about food, housing and transportation? Most people would choose free food, housing and transportation over free healthcareI've tried to have this debate with folks. I think providing for healthcare should be a core function of government. It's certainly more basic than things like education, national parks, foreign aid, disaster relief, arts funding, etc.
And we completely disagree with you and reject your whole argument.I've tried to have this debate with folks. I think providing for healthcare should be a core function of government. Again, which would you rather have free housing or free healthcare, free food or free healthcare? 95%, maybe more of people would say housing and foodEven under the most austere forms of government, one of the core functions of government is to ensure the safety of its citizens. Conceptually, I don't see a big difference in spending money to repel an invader and spending money to repel cancer.
Ridiculous. Safety /= Healthy. Absolute ridiculous argument.Even under the most austere forms of government, one of the core functions of government is to ensure the safety of its citizens. Healthcare....schmelthcare. Most people would be fine if they didn't smoke , drink, do drugs, eat like a pig, etc.. Then, the vast majority could steer clear of the medical profession. And we completely disagree with you and reject your whole argument.
We are not one damn bit interested in your snake oil. The government needs to stay the hell out of the healthcare business it what many of us feel and are not interested in changing our minds.
Solid post and agree 100%.I agree with you on this. If a wall was such a priority he should have shut the government down before the last CR was passed. He didn’t. He gave up almost all leverage then.
And it’s obvious why he didn’t. He was too scared of only having the republicans to blame for the shutdown since they had control of all branches. This is what you get, if you are pro wall, for worrying about elections and not policy.
Lol, just a complete foolish idea. You'll more people denied coverage than ever. Its just ignorant to think that universal coverage will be viable. Make it a true free market without the regulations and the cost will go way downI've tried to have this debate with folks. I think providing for healthcare should be a core function of government.
