TN had a better '24 season, FL's roster is in better shape. Almost anyone that "knows" college football would tell you they are looking better than the Vols for next season. That hurts your feelings because you can't view things objectively which is childlike.Grown ass man buddy who obviously knows way more Ball than you when you are talking crazy like Florida is in a better spot than Tennessee
Heard that my man, I was born in the early 90s. Wasn't old enough to remember seeing the 98 season or the good 90s years so all I have is 30 years of us suckin and getting embarrassed week in and week out. People forget in 2020 we only won 3 games. It is just now 2024, look how far we have come.A lot of young and dumb in this fanbase. Refuse to believe anyone sensible that lived through the Dooley years is in panic mode.
Tennessee. And it's not even close. It's not all sunshine either. Despite the 10 wins and playoff spot, there are cracks in the foundation that can't be ignored. These issues have all been discussed the last two seasons. Next season will be very telling for the Heupel era. The state of a football program can be a very fragile thing. Just as an example, which program is trending better? Florida or Tennessee?
I agree Florida does have a better roster for next year right now. I doubt we beat them next year, if Napier hadn't tried QB sneak on first down on the goal line they beat us this year. I love the Vols but I try to keep it real like youTN had a better '24 season, FL's roster is in better shape. I think we could hire a few better position coaches but turning over that much staff would be an issue imo. If Banks leaves Martinez retires anyways. Idk if Willie will choose to be back anyways. IMHO CB play is one of the smallest issues. Not sure what’s happening with the Oline but we have to be better there; I know we had injuries etc but there’s no reason we don’t have better depth in that area. It’s probably the most important area in terms of wins and losses. Most every fan likes coach Heupel, but he has about 4 coaches that if he doesn't get rid of might eventually be his downfall
Good points. My opinion is Elarbee and Pope need to go. And most of y'all know I have never liked Banks.I think we could hire a few better position coaches but turning over that much staff would be an issue imo. If Banks leaves Martinez retires anyways. No offense taken. Opinions make all of us wrong a lot.No offence, but I think you are wrong. At this point Florida has better team, but they also have a harder schedule than we do
Far as Banks, we’ve improved every year defensively since he got here. I don’t think he’s elite but he’s pretty good. Adjustments though really suck; that said you can only adjust so much if you don’t have the talent. We have to get better at safety; just do not have the speed there to do much.Agree with Pope being fired and so should Elarbee. I have never liked Banks
