Are you f'n serious?

It's a joke to even place the pumpkins in a debate with GNR.

Eh, to each their own.

Different bands, different genres. This is almost like comparing nirvana and metallica. I like hard rock every now and then, but prefer alternative over it for the most part.

I think that it's close time periods plays a part also . I was never a fan of Guns n Roses growing up, but Smashing Pumpkins came about right as I was an early teen when I first started disovering my music tastes. GNR and other hairbands was stuff my older brother liked. There's a couple of GNR songs I like, but not much of a fan.

Pumpkins.

I like some of Guns N Roses stuff but Axl Rose and especially Slash are a couple of tards.

GNR.

I hate Axl, but God do I love his voice. One of my favorite rock voices of all time.

Pumpkins. All day. Every day. Appetite is the only album worth a damn. Pumpkins had several.

never thought I'd ever say this, but GnR looks far more "normal" to me

Pumpkins have some pretty good songs, but their body of work simply doesn't compare to GnR's. They're different genres, so that doesn't help.
