They are two completely different bands with different styles.

I will say this.

GNR was the absolute best at what they did, Pumpkins were about the 4th or 5th best band to come out of the Grundge era and that is being kind.

Most people hate it when I say this, but I actually like the Crue more than GnR.

Slash is one of my favorite guitarists ever until he started doing birthday parties, but Chubby McGoo and the rest of the band can go suck one.

I like Crue more too. To each their own I guess. I don't dislike GNR, but the Pumpkins are my favorite band. More quality songs for sure. Even the b sides are good.
