How did Maymon look? Still explosive?

How did Thompson do running the point?

Maymon looks fine except for naturally looking like he hasn't played in a while. His knee isn't setting him back at all. It's all about finishing at the rim for him now.

Thompson did good. I was content with what he did. Has to learn how to keep the ball lower but it'll come. I think Barton is a blessing instead of just throwing Thompson out there all year and having growing pains.

After seeing Thompson in the exhibitions, and without seeing Barton at all this season, who do you think logs more minutes on Tuesday?

If Barton is a full go. I'd expect Barton. I don't want Barton to go out and further injure himself either. I think you work around how he's feeling. I think Thompson could handle 15-20 mins if needed. He hasn't made any glaring mistakes just staying in front of D.Davis from Xavier will be a challenge.

I want a cookie bc I thought he should be too.... LOL sorry for interrupting....I will let you two get back to arguing.

Id have to make a couple hundred cookies if we are giving them out to everyone who that McRae should play more, there was hardly just 1 or 2 calling it.

It will be a bit clearer after Saturday, Barton is expected to practice full participation Saturday, that happens and he will start.

Now if it's a blow out I could see Thompson ending up with more minutes, but I'm guessing Barton gets 25 and Thompson 15.

Moore is probably going to be my favorite Vol this season (apart from the two Memphis guys, naturally). He does the little stuff and really impacts the stat sheet defensively in relation to his minutes.

I wouldn't be surprised if he replaces Richardson in the minds of Vol fans as the "best defender on the team".

Well played game last night, all around.

Actually I get where you are coming from in saying that about Moore. Help defenders tend to get more praise than lock down defenders. The fact that Artest, Gary Payton, and MJ only won one dpoy, and Pip never won a single one kinda highlights that. I know its NBA but it shows peoples thought process.

And I'm really really excited to see Barton play. I'm so pumped up to actually watch a game on my tv instead of my phone. Can't wait for Tuesday to get here!

Pip, my all-time favorite.

Im a big fan of Moore but he is no Josh Richardson on defense.

Worth a like,,,and a bump!:hi:

Yeah and without Maymon and Stokes playing a whole lot as well. In fact, Stokes sat out most of the first half against So Ind and Maymon hadn't played a whole lot either. Maymon has played just enough to get back acclimated I guess but still hasn't played much.

3. Jarnell Stokes looks great and is going to have an All-American season. Just wanted to let you guys know.

Xavier wants to know who this is? Such a player doesn't exist on the roster.

Stokes hasn't developed a toughness to work through the odds. No Tennessee player has since Tyler Smith. It's just the truth. CJ Watson, Jujuan Smith, Chris Lofton, and Tyler Smith. The only consistent Tennessee players of the past 10 years.

If Jarnell gets in foul trouble he's done for the game, plain and simple. I would like to see Martin pull him after one foul for a few minutes, it's off he left him in after picking up his first tonight.

I would like to see Martin do anything that inspires sustained energy and execution.
