I made a post earlier on referencing a comment I heard one of the pundits point out today. For all of those wanting Trump to exact revenge on the current admin if he gets back to the WH remember the same protections bailing him out today will extend to puddinhead in kind after he leaves office.

So honestly in that regard I think it’s a good thing. Enough with the tit for tat revenge tactics. Nobody wins in the long term

And now, when there is a groundswell of support for that point of view by Dems, suddenly the GOPers want to throw up roadblocks to the Dems replacing him on their ticket.

Which GOPers are throwing up roadblocks?

All I read is that many Ds want Biden replaced, Biden wants to lose on his terms, and Kamala is PO'd she's getting pushed aside by the party and not even in consideration. The Ds are in a cluster fluff of epic proportions.

It is absolutely hilarious as hell that everyone’s response with the VP regardless of party has been “well what about Kama…. OH HELL NO SHUT YO MOUTH!” 😂

She’s clearly the most qualified and prepared VP to step in if needed in the modern era and everyone has every confidence in her abilities 🤣

Initial thought:
I think that’s a great reason for setting a bar. I don’t know, yet, that I see that as a good reason for where they put the bar.

If Biden did anything like this, I’d want him prosecuted.

My main gripe is still that it’s seemingly not helpful to the district court in determining where the line is on official vs. unofficial or what official activity, if any, is beyond the pale. It’s like they punted on those issues. They’ll have to see the case again to decide that.

Follow up thought: maybe being vague about where the bar is ends up being a good thing.

That is why this stuff never comes up, the courts will say its a political issue they can't solve. The people that want it their way, decided to weaponize all this. The courts don't want to be a part of this. And for good reason.... Banana Republic.
