The Thread Where People Argue About Kneeling in the NFL (merged)

That's the problem, though. To me, he's principally interested in making himself look like a winner and "trapping" those who disagree with him in order to make them look like losers. I don't think compromise is high on his list of priorities. His approach worked to get him elected, so I don't really blame him, I just don't think it's going to end well.

Because most of what is going on is moot, imo. This is all about whether we really have a country going forward, just my take of the situation. All he is doing is showing the hypocrisy and the corrupt -- what else is there to do... continue to feed the hypocrisy and corrupt until there is nothing left? I don't really see another option on the table.

No one is crying about trump anymore.

He's rendered himself a eunuch, at this point no one fears him in the slightest.

Less than a year in and he's alienated his own party to the point where he'll have to spend time in the barrel to have any hope of getting meaningful legislation passed.

Might want to let the rest of your compadres know that on this board..

I seriously doubt the NFL commissioner, owners, and coaches are saying that (what that guy said). :eek:lol: I didn't include the players because they are so dumb they are playing Tic Tac Toe in the children's playroom, they're just happy to have their play dough at this point. :eek:lol:

So, what looks like having really thin skin and melting down every time he’s criticized is actually a calculated plan to expose hypocrisy.

Trump supporters will find the “genius” in literally anything he does. He could say he supports Nazis and some here would say, “It makes liberals mad. Brilliant move”

I'm not a trump supporter but I would be considered the majority that doesn't follow politics closely at all. I have four kids in sports and my days consist of work, practice, games sleep.... when I do have free time, it is not spent wondering what trump is tweeting.... I am on twitter and other social media outlets....

When trump tweets something, I usually only know it bc of the insane reaction from the left on all my social media sites.... it's not random crazies either, it's all kinds of main stream personalities..... it definitely does not help anyone's cause with trump and imo a big reason he was elected.

I would pay good money to see the results of Trump's IQ test.

Me too.

Intelligence quotient. 115 - A little smarter than average.

Emotional quotient. 85 - borderline adolescent

Empathy quotient. 60 - sociopath, narcissistic personality disorder

Combined scaled score - 86.7 - moron / dotard range.

I think you are speaking to me. I can't say I am a "Trump support", more like an observer. What he is doing is exposing the hypocrisy, that's pretty much it at this stage.

Also, I know you think this is a victory, but let's revisit what happened: the players made him mad, and he responded by talking about them in press conferences, calling them sons of *****es, tweeting about the NFL dozens of times, and spending taxpayer money sending his VP to a game only to leave, among other things.

The President of the most powerful country in the world, whose self-assigned task is to make it great again, has spent hours and hours talking about football. If all he has to show for it is "exposing hypocrisy," it looks like a massive waste of time to settle a personal score.

So? Leave, stay, it doesn't matter. The money is spent. Remember mom pants Obama tossing out the first pitch all limp wristed?

Oh bless your heart. Such flawed deduction and reasoning.

Public school? :birgits_giggle:

Uh, if you are seriously playing the "I went to private school and therefore I'm smarter" card, you're making yourself look like a terrible person.

His point is that most countries that force patriotism like that are dictatorships that we generally don't want to emulate. When you say "this country that forces patriotism does a lot of bad things," you are making his point.

These are private owners of a business determining how to run their own business. Not a brutal regime. If the players don't like it, they don't have to play
