The Thread Where People Argue About Kneeling in the NFL (merged)

[/COLOR]

Dead wrong.......been discussed and proven wrong.......it is spin that does not fly there Sin.....

Regardless, many veterans have said they have no problem with the knee thing. For many of them, defending our country means the same as defending our freedoms.

That so many conservatives don't understand it isn't surprising. The idea that conservatives are better patriots has always been a false narrative anyway

Please tell me where I have said that they do not have the right to do this.....I have only said that I disagree with then doing it....I have one son that is a Marine and one that is a Sailor.....they both defend our right to be stupid if we want to......

Let NFL players kneel.

Let NFL players wear decals supporting the police.

Let NFL players wear Christmas socks without fines.

Give NFL players religious and political freedom without being fined.

Problem Solved

Problem Solved

That will create ten thousand more problems for the NFL.

But a handful of pardons will not address the sort of systemic injustice that N.F.L. players have been protesting. These are problems that our government has created, many of which occur at the local level. If President Trump thinks he can end these injustices if we deliver him a few names, he hasn’t been listening to us.

THAT will get them a loooooong way with Trump........I would not even respond to them for this crap.......He offered to help in a small way and they use it to bash him......good luck boys!!

The bottom line here is that if your employer says you can’t be political on the job then you can’t be. Put a bumper sticker on your car, put a placard in your yard, but when you are wearing a uniform, normal, practice or otherwise shut the **** up and do your job. I couldn’t go to my job and say “F Trump” or “ White power” without some sort of retribution. Just because he used to be a decent QB in the NFL doesn’t allow him that privilege either .

I think if most people kept the conversation within this realm, where people are protesting on the clock, I don't think you would see much friction. The problem comes when the conversation turns into the protest being against the troops or shows disrespect to the troops. That is where the discussion goes off the rails.

No reasonable person can argue with the simple common sense of not protesting at your job.

Unless there was no policy in place governing workplace protests, which the NFL failed to implement until recently.

Well in the league's defense, they can't be expected to be clairvoyant and I'm sure any such measure would have to at least be run by the players union.

It's just a good rule of thumb and common sense to not s%=t where you eat.

It is common sense and you'd think the players would have enough sense to know this. The folks I've discussed this with all feel the same way. They see the players that protest as spoiled, disrespectful and ungrateful. They also dislike the fact that they're defiantly putting on a political protest when the fans only want to watch football.

Sums up how I feel nicely.

Them kneeling doesn't stop the game from being played.

See, this is where the so-called "fans" are acting like babies. 2 mins of kneeling before the coin toss doesn't have any outcome on the game.

It doesn't, but in today's F'Ed up divisive climate it's nice to get away from all things political every now and then and simply enjoy an event.

The minute someone comes up to me while I'm fishing and starts getting political is the point in which I go ape ****.

The NBA, MLB and NHL all had rules in place regarding the anthem.

The NFL did not.

This issue was the NFL’s to solve prior to CK taking a knee, and they failed miserably.

If you can’t enjoy a football game because a player kneeled 10-15 minutes before the game started, you really weren’t trying all that hard to enjoy the football game.
