NIKE recently ran numerous TV ads that supported the SF QB that started all this refusing to stand for our National Anthem at football games. Some colleges quickly cancelled their contracts with NIKE. So far I have seen nothing of what action UT intends to take on getting out of the NIKE contract. I sent e-mails directly to AD Fulmer and a communications person in the Athletic Department and never received a reply. The Chattanooga Times Free Press newspaper also attempted to get a reply out the Athletic Department without success. Everyone needs to avoid buying products of NIKE. I am an Army veteran that served in the country of Korea. I am also proud to say that I have never owned a NIKE product and never will either. Pro football has had a 15% decline in attendance because the NFL refused to take a stand on the National Anthem issue. With less money for the owners, the players will get the message when they have to reduce player pay to make up for the lost revenue. I would not wear NIKE if their shoes were free....a U.S. Army veteran.
