His short to mid game has been pretty darn good this weekend.
Hes definitely back, getting every shot on the broadcast with little coverage outside the last group.
So, he never practiced with it before the tournament? He hasn't driven the ball well for years.
Tiger is dead, get over it. Been irrelevant for several years. Will never touch the Golden Bear.Nope....he picked up a stock demo in the shop....sight unseen.
There are several reasons he hasnt driven the ball well in yrs.
His specs are exactly the same in every club in his bag since the late 90s......except the driver (thats just one)
He used to have a Titleist PT-15 3 wood with an X100 Dynamic Gold shaft in the late 90's. He still using it?Nope....he picked up a stock demo in the shop....sight unseen.

In the late 1990's his driver went from a King Cobra 8.5 degree with a 120+ gram X100 steel shaft (43-5/8 inches long) to a Titleist 975D 6.5 degree X100 steel shaft (43-3/4 inches long) both at D3 swingweight to whatever he is using now. I think it's a Taylor Made M3, and I'm going to guess it's at least an inch longer, and much lighter.
Butch Harmon did not want Tiger to even try a longer, lighter graphite shaft when he was his coach.
There is a whole lot more competition now than they was in his heyday. Jason Day, Dustin Johnson, Spieth, McIlroy, Fowler, Justin Thomas......to name a few. He won't be playing against Davis Love, Colin Montgomery, and Tom Lehman now.I said except driver......read
Missed 3 wood.... Oops
Btw...... I'm not a tiger fan, I just know by really watching his swing, he is close to being competitive again.
