The Tiger Woods saga

with all the women coming forward

Looks like Tiger had 'em on both Coast

NY, Vegas, LA......

he doesn't have to tell the Police anything.

he's doing exactly what he should be doing...disappearing and laying low. eventually people will give up on the story when they realize there isn't one.

who knows, maybe all of you will too.

nobody is infallible. i got over this fact when i was 11.

Yeah, you certainly wanted to admit the obvious a few days ago.

Watching these entertainment reporters vulture around this story and act like they are owed something is pathetic.

there still isn't a story. people cheat on their spouses all the time. it's a sad fact but i'm not perfect either so who am i to judge?

if it was my neighbor that did it i'd care as much about it as i do this.

time to move on.

This just gets more bizarre minute-by-minute. NBC has reported that Tiger is trying to pay her off to stay. They have a pre-nup that was to pay her 20mil for a divorce in the first 10 years. Now he's reportedly offering to pay her to stay. Reportedly up to around 70mil.

Next thing you know Tony Dungy will be mentoring him.

My guess is he will see his endorsement $$$ begin to decline.

Yeah . . . just look what it did for Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. Those guys are nearly destitute now.

Completely different situations. Kobe at least had the courage, and common sense, to make a public apology with his wife at his side that actually showed some remorse. Tiger's "apology" was a poorly written script and was over the top. By not offering it publicly people were not able to see any remorse. Also, the fan base for golf is very different than the fan base for basketball. Tiger is largely responsible for Nike's success with their venture into the sport of golf (hard goods and soft goods), but I can assure you Phil Knight is following these details as closely as anyone.

Nike, Gatorade, Buick, and most importantly EA sports, all claim they are going to stand by him. Looks like I can still look forward to Tiger 11. Whewwwwwww, that was scary.

The Just Do It and Is It In You ad campaigns will take on a whole new meaning.....not to mention the possibilities at each tour stop on EA.

You are limiting the story too much. The "Swedish Supermodel Nanny Brains World's Best Golfer with Driving Iron, Leaves Him Unconscious while Doing Viking Victory Dance" angle also has some interest.

The "Battered Tiger" angle will get some play.

One of my particular favorites is the "Tiger, World's Dumbest Cheating Husband" text and VM saga.

There's a lot of meat in this one.

Anyone else think Parnevic's comments were uncalled for and slightly inappropriate?

Perhaps...but...the Parneviks were her "friend" first and I would think in a close way. It's natural for them to show her support.

As popular as Tiger is among the public, don't be fooled into thinking he is popular among his fellow tour members.

He's just over 30 with most likely another 10+ years on the tour. He'll redeem himself to the public. We forgive.

nope sorry. i'm sure people have been caught in dumber ways. again, big deal.

Steve Stricker said it best when he questioned whether it's even any of our business. his consensus was it isn't.

This guy's image is screwed...

...for the next six months, or until he starts winning again.

hell, if Mike Vick can redeem himself, Tiger is going to come out of this looking like freaking saint.

With the facts starting to flow in, my earliest predictions that were sarcastic seem to be pretty true. Would only change that she most likely was in the golf cart and he was trying to get away without running over her. The windows were most likely broken before he drove off. The description of the Escalade's route before the crash on the police report is epic. It would seem that they didn't want the police in the house because things were broken. (A mild understatement) I've also heard he was in shorts and a tee shirt and no shoes. All things lead to he was getting the hell out of dodge and she was going crazy on his ***!

With all that said, the "lacerations" were most likely human inflicted, so there is no chance he shows his face until they heal. His public statement yesterday is the closest anyone has gotten to Tiger on an emotional level since the GQ article over 10 years ago. I would suspect that if he is indeed trying to "work" things out with Elin, (pay her to stay rather than leave) he will make some kind a public apology once the wounds heal.

In the end, I'm extremely disappointed. I will admit he is my favorite athlete and I will admit I didn't want to believe the early speculation. However, my current thoughts on Tiger Woods are he is a childish dirtbag. The once overlooked childish antics on the course now prove one thing; Tiger never had to grow up. We'll see what he does from here on out
