Off topic, but Woods vs. Speith is Nike vs. UA. So far, UA has always been redneck gear. Recently, however, UA is kicking Nike's ass in clothing technology. Adidas is kicking Nike's ass in shoes.

Hard to believe, but Nike is a has been in the golf world.

I'd hardly call them a has been or say that UA is redneck gear, but the UA brand has definitely picked up steam.

Probably is becoming a has been is more accurate.

Hard to believe they've not made a bigger splash in club technology. Their clothing line is falling behind. Shoe technology is lame. RZN golf ball was a nice idea but still inferior to the other major players imo.

All those resources, you'd think they'd lead at least one category.

Nike probably leans on Tiger a little too much when it comes to golf. That strategy was fine 7 or 8 years ago, but they could probably use a couple more high profile faces other than just Rory.

... and I agree about Nike golf shoes. They look like bowling shoes.

I like UA but also think nike golf apparel is pretty awesome. I really like the TW shoes as well due to the fit and grip pattern. The Nike golf shorts are kinda weird though because they're obnoxiously long.

I have no issues with the shorts and they are nowhere near too long for me. Right on the top of the knee. I have a large assortment of different brands of shirts, several being Nike and will continue to buy them unless they mess with the sizing. Can't stand their shoes though, in any category: running, basketball, baseball cleats or golf shoes.

The only UA stuff I've ever owned is I wear their boot socks with my uniform. They're great, can't vouch for anything else.

Some commenters are saying this and I agree with them. At this point in his career does he really need a swing coach? If he goes through another swing change that could take 1 -2 years and with Tiger's injuries that will probably shorten is career that is a lot of time.

Butch actually said it first and it makes sense, but he really has to get himself healthy. That's his main detriment in my opinion. Get healthy and quit rushing back.

Ok, I'm sorry but that "interview" was incredibly Busch league and reeks of nothing more than bitterness. It's not funny or necessary.

There is nothing worse than a sports writer with over inflated sense of self worth or entitlement from the athletes or sports they cover. It's obvious that it's nothing more that a parting shot fired from guy in the twilight of his career who is pissed off (still) because Tiger Woods wouldn't give him the time of day.

Get over it and ride off into the sunset without turning into a petulant child.
