The Tiger Woods saga

The special treatment his case has been given by the police and the stalling and secrecy about the situation tend to lean toward a very embarrassing escapade that ended with him driving his vehicle into a tree. I know there is a lot at stake here for Tiger, both in terms of privacy and possibly some of his endorsements. It is beyond likely there is something he is trying to keep from being made public knowledge and his attempts to hide whatever really happened are only the driving the story. When you see smoke it usually means there is a fire somewhere.

I agree, but none of us know the whole truth and unless a crime was committed or the couple separates, we never will

If there is baggage in his closet the media will pursue it and it will come out. This might just be a case of Tiger trying to protect his wife from possible charges, if this is the case the question then becomes what set her off? Women do not like to find out the man they married is seeing other women, this falls in line with the speculation Droski offered based on what he heard from "sources" of his. It makes as much sense as anything else at this point.

that hasn't stopped anybody regarding this matter.

No it hasn't, and whether he realizes it or not Tiger has made sure this story will not go away quickly. Blame the media and those who speculate all you want but Tiger himself deserves equal blame, it is all a part of being a celebrity and enjoying all the benefits it brings.

If Tiger cheated on his wife, that is a moral issue that could lead to civil liability for him in a divorce proceeding. But it is not, in and of itself, the public's business since there is no law against it.

If she punched him in the mouth, threw a glass at him, or whacked him with a golf club, that's a criminal violation and involves public issues since that is against the law.

Sounds like you're on retainer.

Just wait till Gloria Allred starts making statements on behalf of her client...
The scrutiny will only intensify....

In terms of the law you are correct. My argument is he is a celebrity and it is common knowledge that when you make your "deal with the devil" and become a celebrity you are given special attention both positive and negative. When something like this happens questions are asked, when there appears to be an attempt to hide something and cover it up they only dig harder and more fuel is added to the fire. Tiger may believe this isn't the public's business and he may very well be right. This is the media's business however, this is what they do, I'm not saying this is right or wrong but it is known fact and Tiger was fully aware of that.

I picture the two of them sitting in the family room staring at Oprah or Live at Five... he is trapped in a house with his wife who just beat the tar out of him... he's got the cops/media/fans after him... he may have had something in his system (meds) that will get him in trouble with the police...

she is trapped in a house with the man that allegedly has been running around on her after the birth of their second child... she lost her head and scratched his face up... from that she may be facing charges...

Imagine the conversations they're having...

once again you can't use your great public image as a family man to make yourself millions (how many shots of his kids and his wife have we seen at tournaments or award ceremonies) and then claim that you cheating on your wife is a private matter which isn't the public's business.

Who knows, either this was just some freakish misunderstanding or there is meat to the story. So far the media hasn't offered up any explanations, neither have Tiger or his wife. The way this whole thing has been treated reeks of special treatment and cover up. When those things happen the media is never far behind and even in the most trivial circumstances a story is born.

It's a misunderstanding all right between alot of parties

Tiger
Elin
Rachel
Gloria
FHP
Windemere police

The list's extensive

Do you know he cheated? Anybody? I'm pretty sure the only thing he said wasn't our business was the wreck. The rest he denied

His ability to come up clutch has made him millions. He has always been ultra private

at least Charie Weiss getting canned has given the Sports talking heads something else to talk about

I just cannot see why people care this much about this. Assuming the worst, Woods has been having an affair and his wife found out and chased him out of the house with a golf club, maybe gave him a bloody lip. If he chooses not to prosecute her, which is what happens in 90 percent of these situations, there is zip anybody can do about it and he and his wife need to figure out how to deal with their problems.

The only reason people are paying any attention is that its a chink in Tiger's otherwise pretty solid armor and of course everyone wants to see the guy at the top fail, out of jealousy.

He doesn't have to prosecute her, the police can bring charges, that's why they want an interview with him which Woods keeps canceling.

it's tiger's own fault. he's the one that puts out this image that he is beyond reproach. funny thing is i've been hearing for years about how he is a notorious womanizer from guys i know who have been around him.

Not to mention incredibly cheap for someone worth 100's of millions.

I think the real question is...why did you get married Tiger? You're Tiger Woods! Go Gene Simmons on this B and get some ham from every dime piece in Cali

Why does it bother you so much that people are speculating he cheated on his wife? He a hero of yours? Well I've got news for you pal, regardless of if that is true or not, and unlike superhero's you see in the comics, these are real people. And you better believe that they make very real mistakes just like the rest of us.
