The Turf in Norman

The grass seemed tall and the field seemed wet. Doesn't look like they cut they grass and it looks like they watered the hell out of it earlier in the day.....
ABSOLUTELY. That said, don’t we have longer cleats to address this issue ..?
I don’t know.. just asking. Those should have been recognized and addressed ( if possible) before kickoff.

SCjr did that many years ago. Their turf (as we all know) leaves much to be desired. One year it was all brown and they decided to spray it with whatever that made it green and I guess helped it grow.
Well, it rained in Columbia the day of the game and it happened to be homecoming. Everybody was green, to include the homecoming Queen. They never did get it right that year

I think OK did this on purpose. Long grass, wet turf even though super hot and dry there this week

You better believe Okie purposely didn't mow that field to negate Tennessee's speed! Then wet it down probably Saturday am. Reeks of BS "Gamesmanship" I remember from Bear Bryant , Joe Paterno, Woody Hayes, Danny Ford, ect back in the day.

Nah, they watered the hell out of it. It’s insanely thick. Done purposefully to make it harder for people to run and cut. They didn’t want big plays happening. Should be against the rules. It can really injure people.

Danny White should report it to the SEC Office. Even Herbstreit called Okie out on it.

College football just allows cleats no longer than 1/2 inch. Remember the rain drenched Citrus Bowl 1996 when we beat Ohio State. That's when they scrutinized the length of our cleats and the rules came out. After the game Ohio State claimed some of our players or maybe it was just Joey Kent wore 3/4" cleats, sore losers.

Hendon hooker tore his ACL because of South Carolina’s trash field. Now we’ve lost John Campbell potentially, and an OU player is hurt as well. This is a controllable issue, and it needs to be addressed. If schools can’t maintain standards relative to the condition of their fields, they should be liable to fines and sanctions.

The SEC needs to adopt Field Standards and Inspect each Field early in the week, and re-inspect Friday morning to be sure any remedies have been implemented. So simple, an even playing field. Stop the Cheating! I hate Cheater Beamer.

This.. there needs to be inspections on fields or a requirement to go to artificial turf id they can't maintain the field conditions. I've seen hs fields in better shape. No reason for a school with their resources to have that poor of a field.

I honestly think the turf was the reason Heup went so conservative, especially in the 2nd half. Guys just couldn't make cuts without slippage and it just slowed everything way down. Plenty of OK guys were slipping around too, so it cut both ways.
Yeah Nico is throwing to a spot and our guy falls down = INT.

Send Morgan Wallen out there for a Friday/Sunday show at Memorial Stadium to raise the money to resod that goat ranch venue in Norman, in the SEC we expect playing surfaces that meet minimum standards for play, not so much for grazing cattle, the crowd up in Stillwater has had the plastic grass for a couple of decades now

I imagine the SEC will hear from Tennessee. The SEC should have Already adopted field standards, and done their job to insure compliance. I have new found disdain for Okie & their Athletic Department, who were complicit in their Own player breaking his leg. Karma......

Thank you coach for adjusting the offense because this field was an injury waiting to happen.

It was a dislocated ankle actually that brought down their player
