Ferrer gone and I'm happy about that. Solid player with lots of heart who's made some runs in the majors. But he's never going to win one and he's simply in the way once the second week rolls around.

Yeah, Ferrer will never win a major.

I'm not surprised to see Gulby bounced. I think he could be a decent grass court player, but from his first match it was pretty clear he didn't know how to move on it, and that's the key.

Murray is nicely rounding into form.

I'm a Dolgopolov fan, so I was happy to see him win. Plus, I had some money on him.

I had a hunch Baghdatis would lose, but I didn'bet against him because he's been talking about making a serious comeback (i.e. trying to make a run back into the top ten), and I guess I just sort halfway believed him. He's a great shotmaker, but I don't care what he says, he's never been in as good a shape as he could have been in. At least since his early early days. I like Bags, though. rooting for hi.

I hate Fabio Fognini with a passion.

Don't say nobody told you Grigor could make a deep run this year when he does. Because I told you.

I like Bauitista. He's solid and steady on all surfaces.

Marin Cilic appears to be in good form except he drops a bad set each match. In the other threee sets, he rolls.

If you would have asked me to list the Tomic/Berdych scoreline, I would have gotten it right within 2-3 games. Talk about a guy with a ton of game and essentially zero dedication to fitness. Ladies and Gentlemen: Bernard Tomic

I'm not shocked that Djoker dropped a set but I'm also not worried. Stepanek is sneaky like that.

I'm extremly pissed that fricking Jimmy Wang beat Youzhny. I may have had money on YOuzhny, which woudl make sense because Jimmy wang isn't particularly good at the game of tennis. And yet....

Gilles Simon has been in good form.

Tsonga/Querrey tied at 9-9 in the fifth and will resume tomorrow. I tend to learn Querrey if only because I like the mental edge of him serving when the scores is tied. Otherwise it's a coin flip, and I'm actually rooting for Tsonga (guess why?).

I have to say I was surprised that Rosol brought game today. Nadal survived this match and celebrated like he'd won Wimbledon.

I can't tell on my smartphone, but is Raonic in Nadal's quarter? For some reason i'm thinking he is and if so I've highlighted that match as one Nadal might struggle in.

Kidb, why where you pulling for Tsonga today -- I missed something?

Did you see that match? Nadal played well. Rosol is a baller....at least against Nadal. I didn't see the #52 player in the world.

He can't get Raonic in the next two rounds. He has Kukushkin tomorrow. and then the winner of Kyrgios/Vesely. After that he could Raonic, or Kei Nishikori.

I watched the last game of 1st set and then the 2nd set tie-breaker. It was over at that point. Rosol is such a d-head but really has Nadal's number on grass. Rosol had the 2nd set tie-breaker on his racquet serving two points from the set and blew it. The match came down to two breaks of serve basically.

Wish I could've watched it as it happened.

I tell ya, that Nadal, he's one wily son of a *****.

It's like he takes the Russian approach to national defense: just let's you in, gain some ground, feel good about yourself, THEN splat bang blop POW!!!

And your ass is dead.

That's a good explanation. They say he's just really smart on the court and able to figure things out on the fly. I think that explanation makes sense too.

My breakdown of the draw:

Djokovic takes out Tsonga because Djokovic always takes out Tsonga. He then gets (likely) Marin Cilic, who may push him to four sets, but I still think the Djoker wins.

Andy Murray is playing really good tennis, and takes out KA with ease. He then gets Grigor in the quarters, and takes him out in four.

Fel Lopez and Isner are battliing right now. I think Fel has a better chance against Stan than does Isner, but you never know with Isner. Federer takes out Robredo in revenge for the USO result last year.

Milos v. Kei is gonna be an excellent match. Not sure who wins. Rooting for Kei. Nadal shouldn't have any trouble with Kyrgios, but I wouldn't be surprised if he drops the first set. If Raonic beats Kei, Rafa works him over. If Kei beats Rafa, that could be an interesting match. I wonder if Kei's body will hold up.

Murray v. Djokovic will be the match of the tourney. I can't believe how good Murray is playing. Federer v. Nadal. Damn, we know how that one will go. Or do we?

I still think Djokovic wins the whole thing, but Murray's recent play has given me pause.

Djokovic's off-shoulder is injured moreso than he's let on. Near end of Tsonga match he reached for return of serve, grimaced in pain and let go of his racquet. Remains to be seen just how healthy he is.

I am looking forward to Raonic v. Nishikori match. Both players have styles that could hurt Nadal on grass in completely different ways. They have the game, but do they have the belief to beat Nadal.

Speaking of which, Federer should take the head-to-head with Robredo to 11-1 tomorrow with moderate ease. Stan W could be trouble in quarter for Fed. The key for Federer's advancement is his serve. If it abandons him -- as it has in the past upteen slams -- he's gone. His serve gives him a shot going forward.

Murray just might win this thing. He's come a long way in a month.

No way Nadal should be in the conversation come championship Sunday this year. Yet, it'd be foolish to bet against him as he survives and advances.

Not sure if this Kyrgios kid will beat Nadal today or not, but he just won the first set in a tie-breaker. I've never seen him play before and he is a straight up baller. So far, he's shown no fear. Busting serves and stroking the ball. I believe Nadal will right the ship shortly, but this kid is impressive. Wow.

And Serena. Poor Serena. Not sure what happened there. Before start of her doubles match, she claimed to feel weak. Took a sit down and was crying. Tried to start match, double-faulted 4 times on her serve prompting umpire to come down to talk to her, then the Williams defaulted at 0-3.

I know she allegedly has some personal issues going on with her coach. I feel sorry for her. Hope this is just a sickness issue and that she can get back to form.

It was kinda scary. Like I thought she needed to go to the emergency room.

I'm taking Federer in 4 sets. I say this without having seen much of Stan's form since he beat Federer in the Monte Carlo final earlier this season. Playing on the grass just makes this a probable win for RF. Of course, serving difficulties could change everything. RF in 4.

I like this Kyrgios kid a lot. Never phased by the fact he was playing number one player in world on Centre Court at Wimbledon. Unreal. Raonic in 5.

Looking forward to Dimitrov v. Murray tomorrow. I expect Murray to come through (and possibly win it all), but I am anxious to see Gigor's form. It is time for him to make a move on tour. Murray in 4.

Djokovic v. Cilic has potential as well. Djokovic in 5. Good day for tennis tomorrow.

Murray in serious trouble against Dimitrov. Damn. It's over in straights. Djokovic knotted up at a set all with Cilic. Might be a very interesting day.

Federer down a set and Stan is in form. Stan is in great form and Fed isn't playing bad. Has the early feel of not going Federer's way today.

These were solid predictions, IMO. Spot on in more than one. Well done.

Of the four in the semis, any two should provide for an excellent final. I somewhat doubt Fed's ability to get past Raonic, despite the fact that I've been disappointed in Milos for years.
