Lol, he doesn't know anything. He was fluffing Gruden till the real media spoke and said Gruden wasn't coming. He pretty much said it was done, how many BOOMS did use in that time frame?. Then viola UT has a backup plan. Oh my gosh, really? They didn't put all their eggs in one basket? Their interviewing coaches during a coaching search? Who couldn't have thought of that.

I will continue to assist the Orange as much as possible and I will try my best to give you the best Insider information.......


All I can say at this moment is that JG and UT spoke again. I can also confirm you that Butch Jones was #1 on the list after. What happened? I don't know.....

I can tell you that UT have been forced by other admin to work a deal with other coaches. They don't want to wait for JG however the higher powers are doing all they can to get JG to UT.

This thread gives me an opportunity to point out a slight improvement that could be made to VN. You see, when on mobile, you can't see who started the thread, only who posted last. If I had known this was a VolReporter thread I wouldn't have wasted my time.

So your saying Strong isn't going to coach UT next year? And Jon Gruden will end up having a signed contract and will be the HC of UT next year. That would be great. I believe you. Everything else on media was huge smokescreen. Gruden is coming.

Talking to my source I can confirm that UT has planned one more contact opportunity to get JG. Was also told by somebody he believes they will keep trying and this could even go on for another 2-3 weeks......


I can confirm that UT spoke with Gundy and soem UT admin are not happy they are trying to force a hire. Even mentioning of a UT meeting with themselves just so they do not lose control.


UT and Butch Jones were very close however UT passed. No confirmation why or when. I also was told by someone that he has heard that Chris Peterson was even contacted last week but nothing more came out of it.

It really does seem that UT is just waiting for JG.

I can also confirm the Chargers and Vikings apparently from my sources suggest it's the talk behind the scenes for JG.

However does JG want to wait that long and get a NFL job or just be sure to go somewhere like UT. He knows UT wants him.

I have heard JG wants to coach UT but the NFL is still on his list.
