If/when there is an agreement and thats how they (UT and Gruden) want it released.

All of this is definitely getting interesting since the Gruden contract WREG-TV Memphis Report last night. Several media outlets are running with that story and/or talking about it. I'm sure today media chatter will be off the charts.

There is also the issue of why Freak allowed this guy to post without the required minimum post limit.

Freak knows. It's someone big. As crazy as it sounds, he's somebody.

Gruden says there is no truth about having a contract in hand ! He just said on Mike n Mike n.... why do we get our hopes up...

He's telling the truth. He is not physically holding the physical contract in his physical hand whilst physically saying those exact words.

They will when they can. If the guy can't be gone until a certain date for some reason they'll wait until that date to announce.

To be honest, I don't really care if I NEVER find out who you are. I'm on this board to see if there's any news about coaches. If I wanted to read updates from a legit "reporter" (since we still call newscasters that?), I'd go elsewhere.

Have ANY of your rumors turned out to be true yet? Any of them?

Freak, please don't tell us anymore. The possibilities are what keeps us on the edge of our seats no matter how contorted we are when we get there. :)

And for those of you that believe that Gruden, or any HC candidate for that matter, would publicly say on a syndicated radio program, "why yes, yes I do have a contract from Tennessee on the table," I have ski resort for sale in Central Texas with a great ocean view.

OP is Gerald Riggs. He was at the Grey Cup (he actually played for Toronto during the season, but not during the Cup--not sure if he was injured or what), and his dad, Gerald Riggs Sr., works for Chattanooga ESPN radio, which would lend (some) credence to what he said about his family.


edit: To be clear, "OP is G.R." is me speculating. I don't have any facts other than him being at the Cup and his dad working for ESPN Radio Chattanooga.
