Not really. We need quite a few fall. Like this scenario. TAMU barely beats Texas. Texas most likely does not fall behind us AND TAMU goes ahead of us and they go to the SECC with 1 conference loss and even if they lose there and get to 3 losses I’m not sure they get penalized for it and still make playoffs. So you have UGA, Bama, Texas, TAMU and Ole Miss ahead of us. We really need Ole Miss AND TAMU to get beat, plus it wouldn’t hurt of course to have Bama and UGA to lose again and be taken out of the playoffs. We controlled our own destiny and F’d it up and got beaten soundly by UGA. We can win out and still not make the CFP. We don’t control much but to win out and hope some dominos fall to help!

If we were to lose a nonconference game, drop two SEC games, get to Atlanta via a tiebreaker, and win an upset to win the SEC, I highly doubt anyone here would be arguing to do away with the auto bid.

I disagree. There's going to be times a Big12 or ACC team has 3 or 4 losses and win their conference. May not be this year but it's coming.

While I agree, they should be put in, no way should they have one of the top 4 spots and bye.

Agreed.

I think this weekend provides our best shot. But even if we are still the 1st team out going into next weekend, there is still a good shot that we get in. It’s late in the year. Upsets happen all the time.

Neither of those is going to beat Bama, Okie sucks and Auburn is a joke with no offense.

GA Tech I don’t think has the juice to beat UGA although I’d believe it would happen before Okie or Auburn beating Bama. Also we need more than just 1 because I hope you have noticed there have been teams that have dropped even after a win. So we need to kill UTEP and beat Vandy handily and we really really need Ole Miss to lose. There’s not going to be 5 SEC teams in, so we need to be 1 of those 4 and not the 5th like we are right now because we aren’t going to make it without multiple things happening.

Oklahoma and Auburn are both better than KY and as good as Vandy.

GA Tech just beat Miami who is much better than the ga team who played Ole Miss and bama.

Miami was a joke, they have no defense and Louisville should have beaten them already. They were highly overrated and GA Tech finally showed that. But that GA Tech team isn’t beating UgA and id be willing to put a bet on that with you if you have the balls to do so!

Oklahoma is going to be lucky to even make a bowl game at 5-5. They aren’t very good at all and they have no chance against Bama.
Auburn won’t beat Bama either. They are 4-6 and prob finish 4-8 with losses to TAMU and Bama! Neither of those teams are as good as Vandy either. Vandy beat Auburn so no they aren’t as good! As far as Kensucky, we only beat them by 10 and they were within 3 before we scored the last TD of the game. They also played a much tougher game against UGA than we did.

We definitely haven’t been pretty, and I’m not saying they shouldn’t be in, I’m saying if they’re in, we should be too.

Disagree wholeheartedly.

Miami is and was a paper tiger. GT got them at home and there was just enough magic left at Grant Field at Bobby Dodd stadium to make it happen.

The Jackets get Georgia in Athens this year

I would love to say that GT has the juice to stroll into Athens and make it happen, but they don't. As an alumni, I wish they did. Hell, I would give a substantial amount of $$$ to see GT near the top of the CFB world again but it's not gonna happen in my lifetime.


Wouldn't shock me at all for Miami to lose in the ACC championship though and knock them out. Would be no help to us though as SMU would just slide into their spot.

Just one of these. I think with enough heat from this fanbase, if Indiana gets beat pretty badly this weekend, we can also replace them. If they lose big or Penn State loses at all, those two are out. Have to be, with enough pressure on the committee.
