The Walking Dead

"You're going to be screaming at your tv... Bring your Kleenex" -Norman Reedus.

This coupled with the constant commercials of oh hey it's 90 minutes this week!

I feel like, IMO, the overhype turned what was a great episode into a sort of disappointing episode. If they hadn't said any of that or hyped up the 90 minutes I would've probably been here saying how awesome it was.

I still want to know what happened with Glenn. He was completely screwed. Is it possible he has some bite or scratch or something? Maybe it's delayed enough that if he does get captured or something then it won't matter if they kill him or not.

Seems like we were trolled. Daryl and Glenn both getting into those situations. But the whole time I was thinking, they better not let them die this way. It would just be too easy.

I don't get what the wolves are doing. Just collecting zombies? I guess they want to attack the town?

i'm not sure what the bigger picture is (if there is one), but the whole food depot trailer thing was just a trap (probably one of several they have) to help loot people's supplies. the more zombies they have, the less likely somebody is going to escape.

BTW, Daryl wins for kill of the season, with the chain.

that was sick.

Reedus comes across as hyper sensitive to be honest, so he probably did cry.

I'm not shocked at all. Norman Reedus is a notorious twitter troll. I agree that the hype hurt this episode a lot. Great season overall though.

I don't completely agree that the hype hurt the episode. in fact, the hype, along with how the episode was put together, made the finale better overall. the intensity meter was through the roof the entire episode, and there was hardly a moment where i felt the characters were safe. in the back of my mind, all i could think about was who is it gonna be that kicks it? something big is gonna happen at the end, right? that thought helped make everything leading up to the ending so satisfying, that by the time the episode ended, it didn't matter a whole lot to me. It just left me pumped for next season. i can understand why some people are upset though.

the episode def had it's problems: Glen just survived a dog pile of walkers how exactly? and that dude at the gate is just gonna waltz off and let the strangely distant newcomer close it himself? and i forgot how quickly the sun sets in northern va. an hours worth of sunlight vanished in the time it took rick to walk down a street. overall i enjoyed it immensely though. and it sure beats the hell out of the past two finales. (especially the S3 one. holy cow that finale blew)

I enjoyed watching, but in hindsight I picked apart the holes and was a little less satisfied. All in all, I'd say good finale, not great.

I thought it was a good thing. It added the element of suprise.

I was surprised, for sure. So surprised I rewound the DVR 15 minutes just to make sure I didn't miss a scene. That's retarded, IMO. That doesn't even take into consideration the fact that the antagonist has to be so unbelievably dumb that he left the gun for Glenn. It's just poor, lazy writing. Deus Ex Machina, but they didn't even show us the miracle.

Fiction or not, you can't just skip story. There is a huge gap in the writing. They did not explain at all what happened with Glenn.
Maybe Morgan "beat them off with a stick," like he did with Darryl and whatever his name is when they were in the car, and vanished into the darkness.

So show us that, then. I'd much rather see that then whatever was going on with city council.

And I doubt Morgan would have left Glenn with a gunshot wound.

It would be one thing if it were just the one walker on Glenn, but there were 1 or 2 more about to jump on the pile, and he had no weapon.

It came off as a cheap surprise. The last we see is Glenn fighting off a walker that's on top of him with more just a few feet away and he has no weapon. Then later he jumps dude?

I'm like huffines. I thought I missed something.

Lazy storytelling.

My guess is that will be explained next season somehow. Or not. But that was a huge mistake if they leave that untouched. As bad as the van scene off the bridge

I thought of that, but it seems like a weird cliffhanger to tie the seasons together. It's not suspenseful, cause we know Glenn got away. It's possible someone else we don't know of saved him, and that could be somewhat interesting, but we'll see.

C'mon now,

The Walker on Glenn was a slim lightweight female, the 2 other Walkers wer coming from the same direction. Glenn's right side, he shoved the first Walker toward the right as he simultaneously rolled left. Basically blocking Walkers 2 & 3 with Walker 1 until he could roll to his feet.

Easy work for Glenn to either dispatch 3 Walkers (likely on the ground) quickly and efficiently with his knife.) No way he followed Nicholas or left the compound without a blade... Not Glenn.

He picked up the pistol and caught that idiot Nicholas...hopefuly saving him for trial and execution in the premiere of season 6.

The van scene from last season is without a doubt the worst of the series. The Glenn thing sucks of course, but let us never forget.
