The Walking Dead

Actually in the comics the hilltop had never seen him until after Rick had seen him. I believe Jesus tells Rick they don't even know if Negan is real, they believe it's just a "bogeyman" the savoirs have made up to be scary.
I thought it was the same in the show since, they thought Negan was in the compound they attacked. Jesus could of easily confirmed if he wasn't if Jesus had seen Negan before.

Also, regardless if they have seen Negan or not, you're got a good point. The Saviors apparently beat some kid to death at the hilltop. I think the whole line was just meant as a joke. Comedy relief. Lol

in the comics, they have seen him. there is literally a line from Jesus, right after the assassination attempt on Gregory, where he says Negan has been seen with groups of 20 or so men.

show wise is kinda confusing. just rewatched the clip (Jesus, Rick and gang discussing after Gregory assassination attempt), and while Jesus says Negan sent the Saviors to make their demands/threats, he also refers to Negan himself when talking about the 16 year old being beaten to death, saying "he" as opposed to "they." probably just a mistake on the show's part, or they just really wanted to use that totally awesome pun.

i was wondering about the whole, "why not just ask Jesus to confirm which body was Negan's?" myself. kinda just assumed that at that point, they didn't really care to go look through all the dead bodies for some dumb, pointless reason. no reason to find Negan's body when you're that sure you've already killed him (dumb on Rick's part). it's whatever though, i guess. you could very well be correct that no one from Hilltop has seen him in the show so far.

Well it has been a while since the comics, so my bad for being incorrect. Lol I just could of swore when Rick brought back Glens corpse to the hilltop, Jesus was shocked that they ran into Negan himself as the hilltop had never seen him. But hazy memory I guess. Lol

And yeah it is confusing on the show. But what can you do. Lol we will sorta find out hopefully.

If you go back and watch the seen where Daryl blew up Negans boys if you look further down the road you can see a car pulling away. It could be a simple filming mistake or Negan could have been in that car. If he was then Daryl may be the one he ends up killing with Lucille

nah, I just looked up that part again, and you're right. Gregory was the one who apparently says that nobody at Hilltop has seen Negan. though the previous comic issues down below pretty much don't add up to that at all...

The way they were cutting back and forth during the fighting, I was sure someone was going to be the victim of friendly fire.

On a side note, Abraham's dingle berry line has now entered my lexicon.

Pretty sure that was brought up about 3 pages ago.

That room flashes so fast because it happened simultaneously with them breaking into the armory. I forgot all about it until you mentioned it. What was that?

It was allegedly a marijuana grow room. It was also mentioned on the tail end of The Talking Dead after the show.

I just started reading compendium 3 and just got to the part where Gregory mentions that nobody has actually seen Negan. I don't remember the direct quote, but I think he stated that they were not even sure if he was a real person.

Comic is getting very good. Poor poor Glenn.

For those reading the comics, I recommend reading the novels that tie into the comics as well. There are 6 out right now and a 7th coming out this fall.

So Carl was the one that originally made the deal with the Hilltop and not Maggie. Interesting.

I thought the call back to Tara being part of the Governer's attack on the prison was good storytelling. It could have easily been glossed over.

Ahh, I see. Thanks for looking that up!

Its too bad the orange hair chick died, she was a great actor.

Also, Negans group is getting their ass kicked. I'm starting to think we might be in for more than one major death. Things have been going to easy for Rick and co

It would be totally heartbreaking to see Glenn and Maggie die with the baby inside her stomach. Imagine Negan basically killing a whole family? You couldn't get anymore brutal than that IMO. I don't think it'll happen but that would a very unexpected twist to the fans considering Negan only kills one major character in the comics.

I had all but given up on the week-to-week with this show, but this second half has been phenomenal.

Yeah, that would be crazy. But unlikely. I'm thinking more along something like he picks Glenn, but Abraham knows Glenn is going to be a dad so he tells Negan to kill him instead, so Negan does, but then kills Glenn anyways. It would make sense, Abraham was interested in the while pregnancy, and seemed happy for the two.
