Nobody cares about Tara's relationship with Denise, it's quite insignificant in the grand scheme really. They literally pepper the gay relationship randomly in this show only to appease that particular audience. I don't see them killing off Maggie especially now that she's pregnant. There are certain lines tv shows try not to cross and that's typically killing babies, and puppies/dogs.

But that WOULD make someone " physically ill" as described by Andrew Lincoln on reading the final script?

one of, if not "the," worst thing this show could do, would be to bring in Negan in the finale, and have him kill off some Alexandrian.

He HAS to kill off a major character (particularly one of the originals from S1, including Maggie as well). It doesn't necessarily have to do with causing the audience to hate him neither. it's one of the biggest shocks/moments in the entire comic. it's what helped made Negan as infamous and popular as he became. it would be such a disservice to that moment and the character of Negan, if they went a different route.

and while i think Denise was alright, i still couldn't really give much of a **** about her dying. i'm honestly more sad for how Tara is going to be when she (if she) finds out.

Completely agree. If Negan kills a random Alexandrian the backlash will be huge, and rightfully so.

Also as far as "hating" Dwight, I hated him in the comic because he took out Abraham the way he did. Him killing Denise really didn't make me hate him anymore than him turning on Daryl did, because like you I really didn't care about her that much.

And that's why they cannot have a random person get Lucilled, because just as with the arrow incident, you can't just take an iconic moment from the comic and switch out just anyone.

i don't think we're talking about liking/hating Negan's portrayal. we're talking about liking/hating the character himself.

That's kinda what I meant. I think they will make his character unlikable regardless. People hated the Governor and he was toned way down from his comics counterpart.

I DO think it needs to be someone from the core group. Not sure it needs to be a season one survivor though.

That was an exception. A pack of wild dogs threatening to attack your group is fair game. They were presented as a legitimate threat. What I'm talking about is babies, puppies/dogs(which are just normal unassuming pets) getting slaughtered on tv.

I believe this is going to be epic harsh and merely bashing in a regular character's head (even Rick or Carl) would not cause that reaction. Judith or pregnant Maggie would. Coupled with idle speculation like Lauren Cohan's new short hairstyle, it merited a hazard of a guess. If Negan cracks her skull further open and plops it into a blender and feeds the resulting brain smoothie to Judith via bottle? I'd definitely only watch it once or twice.

I'd say Carl would fit that comment, especially if Lincoln is looking at it through his characters eyes (seeing his own son brutally slaughtered in that fashion).

that said, it won't be Carl. I'd say he is top 2 safest characters here.

I highly doubt Negan has any idea who has the largest Savior body count.
