The Walking Dead

Looks like Denise took Abraham's comic book death. Maybe this means Abraham is safe from Negan.

Pretty lame to replace his death with a character that hardly anyone cared about, but whatever.

I actually think this means he will be the one who gets it.

yeah, but i found it pretty surprising and in the grand scale of things, i guess it makes some sense. was 50/50 on whether they would do the whole switcheroo thing regarding that fate, but seeing him and eugene go out, i was leaning toward him getting the arrow. so it was still pretty surprising.

poor denise, not gonna get that pibb after all she went through.

and it's kinda funny to think that just a few episodes ago, she was fixing Carl's right eye, and now gets an arrow through hers.

maybe they'll kill off two people. if they do that, i can see Abraham getting capped this season.otherwise, i think he's safe til next season.

Denise was becoming a great character, premature death imo. And possibly the worst death the group could have as she was the only doctor.

It's likely but it would be a total letdown if Abraham got Lucilled in the finale. It needs to be someone from the very beginning of the show like Glenn, Daryl, or Maggie. I feel like Abraham wouldn't make that big of an impact to the story to keep it moving forward. Personally I think they should just stick to the comics and have Glenn get Lucilled by Negan. He's had too many close calls with death and eventually, his luck will run out.

I think 2 major deaths happen in the finale. Glenn, Daryl, Abraham, Carol, Morgan. Pick 2.

Agree to disagree, I found her to be pretty forgettable. Plus she doesn't really last all that long in the comic, so not really that big of a loss. She wasn't big enough IMHO to get Abraham's comic death.

Well, I found her getting Abraham's death a letdown, so I'm not going to be shocked if it's Abraham.

I thought the show did her better. And honestly I can agree she wasn't on the level of Abraham, but seriously the Abraham death in the comic was the most stupid thing I'd ever read in a comic. Pure shock value, and Abe continuing a whole sentence with an arrow in his eye was silly. So glad they didn't give a A list character that death. It was done better in the show at least. She only said one word before falling over.

the whole continuing his sentence was super stupid lol but besides that, i liked his death scene.

and agreed with the bold, but i still rather have had Abraham get his comic fate.

Fair play. I just thought his death was just did for shock value and his character had much more to give to the story. Hell, even Kirkman said that was the one death he regretted. But, the show handled it better. With the twist of if being Daryls crossbow, and the whole Daryl let Dwight escape, ect ect.

Agreed with the bold for sure. i liked that they did that, even if i thought that episode kinda sucked regardless lol

i feel like this show needs more shock value honestly. i don't think that's always a bad thing. maybe we will get some in these next two episodes...?

and yeah, i was aware that Kirkman had said that. another reason i wasn't sure what they were going to do with the Dwight arrow death.

I really don't want to have to get scenes with Sashaham though. please, god i don't want that.

I think I also hate the Abe death in the comics also because he was one of my favorite characters along with Glenn. (Rough couple issues, haha!) But like, with Glenn I wasn't too upset because it really had a purpose, and managed to be the biggest shock in the comic book still to this day imo. I just felt like Abes was a forgetful, shock value mess. But enough on that.

But I don't know, its a mixed bag. Ultimately I just think it comes down to how well it is down, and if it furthers the story in a good way. And, if two major deaths happen at Negans hand, that would be great shock value that would further the story in a great way. It would instantly make people just hate Negan, and it also makes sense story wise. How many of his men have been killed by Rick and co? A lot. To only kill one person for 30ish? Doesn't really make sense.

And they regretted that decision in the comics so who knows what happens. Tonight's episode is Heath and Tara driven from reading the synopsis. If that's all there is I'll pass.

Late edit: read more on it. If what they say is true tonight's episode will be more than Heath/Tara but still don't care about the big scene

Heath/Tara not even in it.

Good thing I didn't SPOIL it then. :wink2:

lucky for you lol

even had i known beforehand how this episode played out, i would have done the same thing. don't post comic **** that hasn't occurred yet, unless it's in spoilers. it's simple.

Nothing's "occurred" yet. Even simpler.

I think that Morgan also slipped out along with Carol and Daryl. Still not sure what will happen with him. HAM to save Carol? He dies to save her? He tries to bargain and gets multiple people killed, including himself, which would be just what he deserves?

Maggie is safe imo. But thats because I know where she goes in the comics. SO the show could easily change it up. I would be shocked. We will see

Comics have no effect on this show. Andrew Lincoln stated that the final script made him physically ill. I think it's genuine as opposed to Norman Reedus false hype last year. Very limited number of characters would cause that reaction IMO. Maggie by herself wouldn't. Maggie with a baby in her belly?
