The Walking Dead

Would somebody give me a quick lesson on who the groups are? I know Alexandria. Is Negan's group called something? Who is Jesus with? I don't know anything about the comics other than what you guys mention. And I don't always catch a reference in the show. Saviors, Hilltop, Kingdom...are all of those groups and are they good or bad?

Negan's group are called the saviors. They're the main antagonists in Season 7 until another dangerous group comes along later on which I'm not going to spoil for you. Jesus is part of the Hilltop along with the leader Gregory. The Kingdom is another settlement run by King Ezekiel. If they follow the comics, Hilltop, The Kingdom, and Rick's group team up together to battle Negan's saviors resulting in All Out War.

As I have mentioned before, I do not follow the comics but it sounds like the story is really about to get good.

You seem like a real violent person.

Perfect, I was chosen to be Negan for our office Halloween party. A group of us are going to be various TWD characters. Growing a beard. Got the costume. Tomorrow I make my version of Lucille. Real bat and real barbed wire...
Should I use real blood to "season " it? Seems like it would make it more realistic...

Abraham was killed much earlier in the comic books. apparently the comic writer regretted the how abraham died so the writers of the tv show wanted to give abraham a better death. i thought it was a good plot to kill both, no one saw that coming. it will be interesting to see how long they keep kegan in the story.

i wouldn't really say it was much earlier. it was only like 2, maybe 3 issues before Glenn was "Lucilled."

He gets the arrow through the eye (what happened to Denise in the show) in the comic to put it in perspective.

the rest is correct for the most part, though i wouldn't really say nobody saw it coming. wasn't really that shocking at all, especially after abe bit it first. pretty much gave it away that they were gonna ax off someone else, and Glenn was the most likely at that point. as i stated earlier, it still kept pretty much completely to the comic. both abe and glenn reach their end by the end of Negan's intro.

You must not hangout in the Recruiting Forum or the Football Forum much then ...there are some real asshats that just totally take over and ruin threads pretty regularly.

I'm not in the recruiting forum much at all. I'll visit when we get a commit or during the off season. I do frequent the football forum though, and I know exactly what you're saying in that case lol

Never understood why Glenn almost getting killed meant that he shouldn't be the one to get killed by Negan.

What does the dumpster scene have to do with Negan killing Glenn with a baseball bat in the next season?

Because they were screwing with the audience. They knew almost 2 years ago how they were going to do this episode.

If they were going to kill Glenn, then he deserved to go out the way he did instead of being killed by a group of walkers imo. That make more sense to me.

So they claim. I believe them as much as I believe George Lucas had the entire SW saga planned out exactly like it turned out in 1974.

that's right, i forgot he took the arrow in the eye. i think the show writers alluded to the comic writer regretted abe's death. i didn't expect 2 deaths and i don't think anyone expected two deaths. it will be interesting going foward.

So you think that they intended on keeping Glenn but just decided over the summer to call the audience's bluff that they'd never kill an original?

I don't believe for a second they planned on kiling Abe then Glenn like that for 2 years.

Gonna watch tomorrow...and the next one...so will everyone else on this thread. :)

I can't say for sure about Glenn and whether or not he was added at the last minute but I very much believe Abe was planned in advance.

You gave up after the Glenn death or a while ago?

After last season. Had been considering it for awhile, last year finally killed it for me. I can't do the one good episode, 4 bad episodes thing. But have fun watching Morgan and Carol do nothing followed by some Heath and Tara. Then probably some backstory on a rock or something lol

So this week has really sucked...TWD killed off two characters that I really liked; then the Vols lose to usc. 😵
