The Walking Dead

He makes it to at least season 8 but I highly doubt what plays out in the comics with Negan plays out on the show.

No way Negan survives this tv show even though he lives in the comics.

Negan is too important of a character to only live through two seasons. Sure, the TV Version is different from the comics but I'm almost positive that Negan will become a main character in the series. If he does die, it'll probably be in Season 9-10 if it makes it that far.

Sounds like the show is really close to catching up with the comics. Despite the ratings drop its still the highest rated show on cable. Makes you wonder how long they keep it going and if it will pass up the source in the same way Game of Thrones did.

Yes and no, depending on how much they follow the comic and how long they spend. Given their track record, I'd say they are still a good 3 seasons behind where they are to the comic up to this point.

If they remove elements they could catch up in about 2, but the thing is, they've added more than they've taken out. Kirkman has made nothing concrete but supposedly he has said he wants the comic to go to 300 issues, and it's been going since 2003 and it's only at issue 164. The TV show I've read he's planned for 12 seasons at least, so I don't think they'll ever pass the source material. But I think they'll have to divert to have an end game because the end game of the comic won't be known by the time the show is ending, and I don't think the show will last more than 12 seasons.

Good point

Also you have to factor in things like Carl; in the comic Carl is about the same age he is now on the show, but if they go 5 more seasons he'll be 22-23. I guess it's possible he won't age that much and can still pull off playing a teenager, but if he hit a growth spurt and all he might start looking too old to pull it off.

They should just kill him. Avoid the risk of a growth spurt.

Good episode last night. That walker with the spikes and everything sticking out, that Rick had to kill, was pretty cool I thought. I liked how they foreshadowed Rick asking Tara if there was anything out there as she had been the furthest out. They'll obviously head to that lesbian camp with all the guns soon. When are they going to have Darryl and Carol kiss already, the buildup is just so obvious....Get it over with.

Stop pussyfooting around with Carol. She's been milking the whole "finding herself" story for a year now. As if she's not eventually going to find out about Glenn and Abraham anyway. Just go ahead and tell her. She's useless sitting in a house doing nothing anyway. While we're at it, somebody please kick Morgan and Ezekiel in their balls because they're not using them anyway.

I got a feeling Ezekiel will come to his senses at the end of Season 7. As for Morgan, he's turned into a big puss. He needs to stop living in his own little fantasy world and realize that there's no "Life is precious" in this world anymore. It's about fighting and survival.

I think they're making it a point to show bad things happening to both Ezekial and Morgan just to prove out that when they do turn, it's going to be bad for anyone on the other side. That tiger is going to have some carnage to do soon and I think Morgan will be quite a badass when he does turn. I believe the fight will begin before the season is over and then the Kingdom will finally make it's decision to join the fray at the end of the last episode and that'll be the cliffhanger that we're left with. Things seem to be moving along though, to get rid of Neegan. That lesbian camp will be jumping on board very soon.

I do agree with the Carol story arc. It seems to have run it's course and I see her sacrificing herself at some point this season to save a bunch of people while taking out a bunch of saviors in the process...Let's see.

The Carol thing is just a repeating storyline and I am burned out on that.

They've done it every year with all different characters. Rick, Sasha, Carl, Carol, Abe, Gabe, Hershal, and even the governor.

I've never seen a group of people so lost and in need of finding themselves, in my life. Heck, forget guns, they need to find a freaking compass.

Edit: forgot Morgan

Well, back to dragging crap out. The Carol and Morgan crap needs to end, it's gotten to stupid levels.
The Garbage Pail Kids are generic and kind of lame, and the trial thing was pretty much the same as what Negan put Rick through. Also Rick has been doing this how long yet he panicked and somehow gets his hand impaled on its head?

Not sure much of that, if any, was really nitpicking.

if anything, how bout you stop whining. VSF's posts in here have been pretty solid. stop reading his posts if they're getting on your nerves this bad.

I did think the CGI when rick was on top of the hill was pretty ridiculous.

the green screen dump may as well have been on fire. soooooo awful lol

I didn't feel like it was a bad episode but there was a decent bit of retread. I don't know that we needed to see another drop off between the kingdom and the saviors.

Why didn't Daryl tell Carol about Glenn and Abraham?

I really didn't pay attention to the screen dump. Honestly the only thing that was just ridiculously dumb in this episode was Daryl not telling the truth about Negan killing Abraham & Glenn. I mean eventually Carol is going to find out. No reason for the writers to drag out the "Oh Woe Is Me" Carol plot line. It's getting pretty annoying.

His projection and hypocrisy are cute though.
