Yes, IMO. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the point that it breaks down slowly, giving you protein source as you sleep? In that sense, it doesn't matter what you do when you wake up, and in fact it would be even more beneficial if you have a morning workout.
I could be wrong, and usually am, though.
I eat a clif bar about 15 minutes before I work out.
Because your body will use up the protein it has available sometime through the night, and you are in a catabolic state through the night. While you sleep is the time a majority of your muscle rebuilding takes place. You want your body to have the nutrients it needs during this period.
Like I said, I'm no expert. I'm just regurgitating info I read online.
IMO diuretics(fat burners) only work for energy, you are not going to just get shredded off a fat burner. Diet is the whole key. JMO, not trying to rip you or anything.
Most fat burners are just glorified caffeine pills. Compound 20 is a true thermogenic, same as CLA but reported to be much more effective. It does not contain caffeine, it targets body fat. Best testament to its ability is that its been really hard to get, everyone sold out. It just hit shelves again in most places but it still goes quick.
OxyElite is their "fat burner". Really just Jack3d in pill form.
A lot of guys are cutting without diet, just added Compound 20 to the routine, and are raving about it on several different forums.
Chocolate milk is considered one of the best post workout drinks (from what I've read). Why is that?
I just drink water with a scoop of protein. But again, I shouldn't even in be in this thread. Can't help it.
Milk protein is good stuff. I dunno if it's better than whey protein, but there's a lot in it, and it breaks down slowly, giving you a long term boost of protein.
I would have thought whey protein would be better post-workout, though, because it breaks down quickly to give you an instant source of protein.
