The Weightlifters Thread

I got diagnosed about a year and a half ago @ 23. A combination of always being outside as a kid and tanning beds.

I don't let it bother me too much, I still go outside and play golf sometimes. Just have to wear sunscreen.

What type of skin cancer do/did you have & how do you treat it? Aside from having a big ass scar on my back I had lymph node biopsy & I have to go to the dermatologist every 6 months so they can check me out & document & measure every little mole on my body. A lot of times they'll slice something off & send it to be checked just to be safe.

Luckily, it is just basal cell carcinoma. I had 3 biopsies done and one came back positive. I planned on having surgery to remove the spot but then they gave me some cream that people with STD's use. I used that for 8 weeks twice a day. I go back once a year for them to check me. Just went back a few days ago and they did a biopsy on another spot.

These male gymnasts in the Olympics are freakin' awesome! The strength and control they have is not like anything I've ever seen. I LOVE watching these guys! The women are awesome too, but they don't display near the strength the men do. Amazing.

It takes a little time for glucosamine to kick in but it does work. I took it before because my knees were cracking & popping when I would squat but I wasn't having any pain & it helped a lot.

Could you really tell a difference that it was helping your joints? About how long did it take to kick in? How much did you take?

Drank some beet juice yesterday. Mixed it w apple juice. Not bad at all. Had a great workout this am, but I don't think it's necessarily related, I think the nitrates is a cumulative effect

Too bad they were a miserable failure and brought shame to our great nation.
