1.Yeh, maybe to a fan. Tell that to no name producers/writers who get nominated. Hello Career. Hello Pub deal.

2.KidB- the only song I skip is "Magic". Its korny. "Bet I" is on there for understandable reasons. TI, and its the only "gangsta rap" record on the album.

1. I agree it's nice for an artist to put on their resume. It just means nothing to me.

2. I also understand why "Bet I" is on there. He's under TI's label, there was going to be at least one song like that. So, yeah, I totally agree with you on that point.

I disagree on "Magic". Is it corny? Yeah, maybe. But I also think it's his best lyrical performance on the album.

even David Blaine had to go and take some classes in.
I see Mindfreak like "what's up, man? What's happenin?

That line, for example, puts a little smile on my face.

I was refering to writers/ producers, but the same with Artist. Although if an artist record is nominated, they likely are benefiting from shows/ other avenues of $ bc of the hype of the record. But for writers/producers, a grammy nomination can take a no name to a 150K pub deal overnight.
2. Magic- most impressive lyrical performance?- Yes. Best written record- No. I see what your saying, as he's "goin hard" on the record, but I feel the corny hook overshadows the skill he shows in the verses.
3. Lupe's verse on Past my Shades is crazy-good. And I really LOVE The Kids.

I like it a lot, but hard to compare the 2. I got the whole cd for $3.99 on Amazon the day it came out. It was Amazon MP3's download of the day. I never did get around to getting their last cd, just a couple songs from it. Guess I need to smoogle it.

That isn't that good really...I'm sure it sounds good as far as delivery goes but it doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Fom that line I have no clue what he is talking about...I can tell you that it's just words that sound good together, I understand what he is saying...I know what ether is...I know who Aretha is...it's just that it has no meaning.

If he sings like Aretha he should just give up rap.

He sings like aretha, writes like Neo, raps like Andre, and performs like TI. He was saying his rhymes are "out of this world" ether. (The truth). He sings just like aretha (other rappers can't) so you should respect him like he's Caesar (respected ruler). He kicks it like adidad (soccer balls kicking) He smokes sticky like adhesive (really good weed) Be cautious cuz what he be on will leave you with amnesia......Makes sense if you know hip-hop lingo. If you don't, it sounds like a bunch of words put together, much like you described. To me, its just what he said; Intergallactic Ether. What's crazy is it decieved you like he said. LOL

dude...sounds like a bunch of self-serving crap to me...I know "hip/hop lingo"...the fact that you went on to describe it all out like you did makes me laugh.

Like I said, it probably sounds good cause the words have a nice flow to them but it has no real meaning behind it.

Hence it is not that good.

The name of the song is "Magic". He has the magic in him. It has a meaning. I think what you mean is it doesn't have a purposeful meaning.Bc it clearly has a meaning.
