I agree. I have tried for a while to pick up the guitar and I have to say....I hate John Mayer for what he can do with a guitar. He's an amazing guitarist

I have been playing for years...what he has is natural, he was born to play guitar.

He kills it on every song.

It's only natural after he plays the thing for the better part of his youth. JM was not necessarily the life of the party as a teenager, and most of his waking seconds not spent in school were spent playing the guitar. I'm not disputing that he has natural talent -- he does -- but he's also obsessively dedicated to the craft.

The dedication to the craft is part of it...Kobe has a ton of talent but it is his dedication to winning that make him great.

Mayer is superbly talented, his work ethic is part of it.
