The "what album are you listening to now" thread...

How is it ^
I liked it. It's not the Weiland on drugs of old, but it's worth a listen. I expected worse. I'd buy it again. I can honestly say it's better than Velvet Revolvers last album.......

What I'm looking forward to is Soundgardens new album. I loved Audioslave and I think it's sad they parted ways but Soundgarden>Audioslave. Plus, from what I hear after today's free concert in the UK. Rage is going to start on another album (supposedly). It's like 1996 all over again.

I just hope that Matt Cameron stays in Pearl Jam, I love Soundgarden and I'm excited about a new album but I really like what Matt Cameron brings to the table for Pearl Jam.

I think Cameron is replaceable in that band. I mean, their best stuff was before him so I think they would do fine. I don't think Cameron will leave permanently. IIRC they are on tour in the UK. It wouldn't matter to me either way. I don't think Soundgarden can make a bad album. Cornell has the best grunge voice of all time, OF ALL TIME!

I mentioned them earlier in this thread but I found a few albums by Skin Yard, one of which has Cameron on the drums. This was before Soundgarden of course. It's the self titled album. You should check that out if your a Cameron fan. I also think he was credited some for their later stuff (2000's), but don't quote me on that. Anyway, It's a great album.

Tell'em man...there is no comparison but you can't tell these dudes nothing about B.O.B., they are all over his jock for some reason.

I'm pretty sure B.o.B had a threesome with this guy's sister and mom. Nothing else explains his over-the-top contrarian schtick about re: Bobby Ray.

Let me sum up the last 4 or 5 pages of convo between everybody on the board and this guy:
Person1: B.o.b is crazy talented and his new album is sick.
GahLee: What's so great about him? I don't think he's that great.
Person2: Well he's 21, he's put out as much music as many musicians put out in an entire career, and he's multi-talented: rap, sing, guitar, piano, makes his own beats, etc.
Gah-Lee: I don't think his raps are that great. They don't have "true meaning".
Person3: What in the hell does "true meaning" mean?
Gah-Lee: I have no idea. I was just trying to sound deep and profound.
Person2: Well, putting aside the fact that your diatribe about "true meaning" was nonsensical and we're all now dumber for having read it...he's still very multi-talented. I mean, half the songs he mixes it up and both sings and raps
Gah-Lee: His voice isn't that great. He uses auto-tune.
Person1: No, he actually doesn't use auto-tune at all. Here is a link to a clip where he makes fun of people that do, jackass.
Gah-Lee: I didn't say he used auto-tune. I meant uses pro-tools.
Person4: Well of course he uses pro-tools. Everybody does. That doesn't mean he can't sing.
Gah-Lee: Uhhh. Well I know a guy that can sing better.
Person2: Well, we all do, but the point is that he puts it all together and the result is a unique sound. A good damn sound.
Gah-Lee: What's so unique about it? I mean, why do you like it?
Person6: I'm sorry, did you just ask me to describe to you why I like his music? Do you realize that makes about as much sense as me asking you to choreograph a dance routine about why you like your favorite architecture?
Gah-Lee: Sorry, gotta go. Mom's calling me to dinner, and she won't stop talking about B.o.B. I'm so mad. I hate him. I hate him. I hate him.

So what's your point?

Wow...I mean wow.

His raps are basic, maybe that is your style because your basic...age is nothing but a number, Nas put out one of the greatest albums of all-time ( any genre ) before he was 20...I play multiple instruments, you probably don't, would explain why you are impressed by a guy who knows a few chords...you said that he was the cream of the crop when it came to rappers who also sang, I gave you 2 examples of guys who are MUCH better than him...cream of the crop, that is a direct quote...never said he used auto tune, I said that auto tune and pro-tools can make anyone sound good...of course he uses pro-tools, probably uses it to correct the pitch in his voice bring it into key and make his VERY OVERRATED VOICE sound somewhat decent...now you and that phony music producer OrangeKush can continue to salivate over this guy all you want, I refuse to believe that he is the best thing that rap has to offer, which is what you think...you guys were quoting his basic ass rhymes like it was profound, the other dummy actually went through the process of trying to explain what it meant...hilarious...if you don't know what "real meaning" is your not as sharp as you think you are, who knew after making a comment on here that you would have to break it down to a 3rd grade level so some people could understand it.

So keep swinging form his sack, I promise there will be another young rapper from Atlanta, one who will surely sweep you and your boy off of your feet.

By the way, throwing my Mom into it just shows how pathetic your argument is...low blow, would not expect any less from a guy who thinks B.o.B is the second coming...joker.

B.o.B isn't singing in that song, jackass (See "feat. Bruno Mars").

Like I said before...

Get your ears cleaned out. Nothing here to compare or even put on the same level.

Dude is ok at best but garbage compared to Ceelo. I'm sorry your mainstream opinion isnt shared with myself or others on this topic. No need to get crazy.....

All I'm saying.
