Legal Disclaimer: I understand we first must beat UT Martin and then there is a big game against Kentucky. And I understand after the Georgia game we still have to take care of business against South Carolina.

The committee showed us last year that an undefeated, number one ranked team is allowed to lose their conference championship game and will still get in.

Not that a loss here eliminates us from playoff contention, but a win all but assures that we would be in the playoff.

I think UGA and UT make the playoffs

I DO NOT trust the media.

I think you overlook the fact that UT is still not viewed the way UGA and Bama are or that UT fans are disliked by a lot of the media. If UT is that one loss loser... I fully expect the voters to put a PAC12, ACC, Big12, or even a one loss Big10 team in instead.

How about we just worry about beating UT Martin first?

Why do people who are fans say this?

We can talk about any game we want, our conversation has no effect on the outcome of the next game or one next year. It's pretty boring to only talk about the next game, especially when the next one is UTM, who we could probably beat making the offense play defense and the defense play offense.

This sounds weird but I think UT has a better shot at making the playoffs than Georgia. I don't think Georgia gets in with one loss.
1 loss defending National Champion...

I think depending on that game in Athens.
UT wins 55-54 or a close game like that. You'd have to take a hard look.

I think a 1 loss Tennessee team still makes it. They will have the best resume by leaps and bounds by any 1 loss team, as long as its to Georgia and its a close game.

I am not going to try to pick the national champion after game 6, too many variables and I know that when I build expectations to quickly the potential fall is monumental. I'm just going to recline my seat and watch this season unfold because UT is back to being a football school again. Thank you Danny White and his cast of coaches and players.

I believe in bad juju, sorry just superstitious.

So many variables remain. Too many to realistically predict anything.

Does Stroud get hurt between now and their game against Michigan? Does Hooker get injured before Georgia? Does either team go undefeated? Or somehow get into their conference championship games despite 1 loss? Or if a loss keeps them out of the B10/SEC CG, do they have the intangibles in their other games to overcome that? Whose stats end up better? Whose key plays look more amazing? Are the Mid-western voters divided between Stroud and, say, the Michigan QB? What about the Southern voters being divided between Hooker and Young? And does Tennessee remain the darling of the country? Even more so? Or do they fall off the national consciousness for some reason?

I don't think anyone short of God could predict this one, not this far in advance.

All we know for certain right now is, Hendon--and our entire team, heck our entire program--are in a very good place. We seem favored by most.

That'll do for now.

Go Vols!

The CFP ranking will be released on Tuesday of Georgia week which will only increase the significance of this game. The game atmosphere will even eclipse our game with Bama.

All eyes will be on Athen and the outcome.

This is what scares me. Not UT Martin exactly, but us riding the wave thinking we are automatically 11-1 or 12-0. Some on volnation would melt down if we god forbid get beat by KY, or SC

In 1998, after beating FL I honestly thought we were going to run the table until Arky in the 4th quarter. Then I knew we were destined to lose. Then we won and I knew we were destined to win it all. There was no doubt after that.
