The WRASSLIN’ Thread

Rockstar Spud was revealed as the 205 Live GM, he is now going by Drake Maverick. He announced there'll be a 16 man tournament to crown a new cruiserweight champion and the finals will be at Mania. There was two tournament matches last night, TJ Perkins defeated Tyler Bate and Cedric Alexander defeated Gran Metalik. They'll will be two more matches next week.......Kalisto vs Lince Darado and Hideo Itami vs Roderick Strong.

the 205 Live division needs Rey Mysterio

I like the Harper and Rowan a lot, but the gimmick is bad and their finisher is even worse.

I disagree really. The outfits are terrible. The music is pretty badass, but their two tandem moves are great. the double razor's edge is excellent honestly, and they are both strong enough to pull it off against some legit big dudes.

Just wish they'd drop the constant squash matches they have. We didn't need the reboot at all, we know they are some of the most athletic big men WWE has had in a long time.

It's just not creative and pretty boring, imo.

Maybe, but they got who they need, Richochet. I don't watch 205 Live and I wouldn't for Rey, but I will for Richochet.

They can add every great wrestler in the world but if they can't put people on the show who already have storyline recognition, it'll be impossible for the masses to really latch on to it because there are just too many people without backstory.

That's a great point but I think it's too late for Rey to draw that many eyes.

Is it just me or is TM61 overrated? They haven't stood out to me yet.

I'm very much a casual NXT fan. I watch Takeovers and if I'm told OMG YOU GOTTA WATCH *insert here* I will. TM61 seemed as random to me as the entrance of Chiampa and Gargano to the Dusty Rhodes classic, but without the impressive work of Chiampa and Gargano

I think with Rey, you have someone who can carry the belt long enough for newcomers to try and take his title away in storyline. That gives them direction against someone who isn't just good at one thing (like Neville), but has wide-reaching appeal. Hell Rey is probably the 3rd biggest babyface of the last 12 years.

Yeah, they're really dragging it out with the nobodies. It's time to see them go up against some real competition.

Gargano/Almas got a 5* rating from Meltzer, the first WWE match to get 5* since Cena/Punk MITB
