The WTF story of the Day

Could you imagine being in one of those pools when that thing hit?

Back in 2017 or so, I was with some friends in Costa Rica for a bachelor excursion. A quake of ~6.5 magnitude hit about 15 km from the AirBnb we had rented. The pool (in-ground, went from 3ft to 8ft depth-wise) had about half the water left in it, and the hot tub (in-ground, but with the top at about 2ft above the pool deck) had pretty much all the water gone from it. Aside from losing power for a few hours and the tiki bar structure on the roof deck collapsing, there was minimal damage all things considered.

As high up as those pools were in the videos...that would've been a wicked ride. A substantial moment arm and force are powerful duo.

A Fansly "content creator," 27, was taken into custody after she allegedly sold a video of sexual activity involving a Chihuahua on Snapchat for $500.
During an investigation, authorities allegedly discovered multiple videos of alleged abuse with multiple other canines.
The suspect was released after posting a $10,000 bond and, according to reports, none of the allegedly abused animals have been seized by authorities.

Is “Fansly” a budget FansOnly for the bubba crowd?

Burn the whole place down. Twice.
"Reptile Relocation Sydney owner Cory Kerewaro said two of the captured adults gave birth to a total of 29 snakes in the bag while Cooper was still sifting through mulch catching more."

like wow

One thing that caught my eye in particular was the eventual failure of the glass panel to the right-hand side of the pool. The water appears to splash up against it a few times, but it either shatters or dislodges. Towards the end of the video it's just lapping over the opaque wall, and the floats go over. Yikes!

False accusations need to carry stiffer minimum penalties.
I've seriously considered the idea the best minimum penalty for a false accusation is minimum penalty for what that accusation would have brought. For instance a false accusation of rape would carry the same penalties for the false accuser that being found guilty of a rape would incur plus any court costs if it went that far.

And that's just criminal...any smackdown a false accuser takes civilly is on the table as well.
