I have same conflict when Rice plays Texas in football but I root for Texas.

I got my undergrad from Rice and my MBA from UT-A so I have two alma maters to choose from. I rooted for Rice when they played Texas in 1999 but that was because I was dating a guy on the team at the time.

Most women....not all. I can tell WTFox is a real one, and just enjoyed the tease. My Wife is loyal as anyone I have ever known as well. But 80% of women...yup loyalty is in the wind.... SHeep and wolves, find yourself a she-wolf, or lose half your stuff.

The which Moc are we certainly has been a thing. I dunno....it always made sense to be Moccosin snakes. I mean literaly UTC campus is next to an island on the TN full of moccosin snakes....but for whatever reason a snake as a mascot never went over well with the powers that be. But I am pretty sure most UTC alumni of old always viewed them to be THOSE mocs. I guess mocking bird works well though, it's the state bird, has a take on all comers attitude, and out fights it's weight class so it's apt. Just as long as the shoe is gone, and the guy with Sioux headgear dressed like danial boone is gone.

One interesting thing to consider in todays scores. Western Carolina beat UTC last year in an absolute blow out with a last second field goal 50-52. So pretty closeley matched. Western Carolina gave the Wolfpack about all they could handle today.....almost looked like an upset. So how TN does via UTC might be a bit of a hint of where we're at in terms of NC State. Also though..don't act like the sky is falling if UTC gets 20. They are ranked preseason #1 in Socon. For me a good day would be UTC beats half the spread.
