The Zone Edition: Face with screen name thread.

Oh well if I could send you some sunshine I would, it has been Beautiful here, but it may be one of our driest October's, so we are just the opposite, but at least I was able to finish painting my back deck today and clean some windows. The back deck will just have to wait until next year to be painted 😀
It's nice during the morning and early afternoon, but after the 2 hurricanes the afternoon thunderstorm keep on coming.

I remember Knoxville in the mid-70s. The first two weeks of October were rainy. It made for brilliant Fall colors on the deciduous trees.

We have had NO rain in Nashville in October.
I'll take that any day over Asheville and St. Pete.
Oct. is normally a dry month here.

Same for Memphis. I was away from here last week but do not think it has rained since the last hurricane. The rain we got prior to that event was from the previous hurricane that went up through NO.

No rain in Asheville, either (storms were Sept 25-27.) October is historically the driest month in Buncombe County, but normally, of course, we can water.

I did turn on the drip hose 2 days ago, now that it’s relatively easy to go on the daily drive to go get water for drinking. (I’ve met lots of nice people this way!)

Gardening friends have confessed to sneaking out after dark with their gallon jugs of unsafe-to-drink, trying to keep their plants alive.

We’re all ready to see rain, in more reasonable amounts.
