Loved these quotes about Heupel and Tennessee.

"He has a fan base and a state that are fanatical about football. If he can really keep this train on the tracks going, there's no telling how good they can be, not just this season, but in the years to come."

"I can't wait to see what Tennessee is going to do in two or three years on offense when they get on the recruiting trail. With all this cachet that's built up behind them and of course the NIL program they've got going on there, recruiting is about to skyrocket in Knoxville. The banks of the Tennessee river are about to overflow with talent, so imagine what they could be accomplishing here in a couple of years."

Also an interesting comparison to 2019 LSU.

And heaven help the SEC if the Defense and Offense start playing equally good.
Very soon we will have talent and speed on par with bama/Georgia/OSU etc. Will likely still give up above average yardage due to the game scripts our offensive identity forces but it will definitely result in increased turnovers and much better third down rates. In a year or two I wouldn’t be surprised if we find ourselves being favored in nearly every single game the way Bama has been for so long. As long as Heupel is here with our resources and the recruiting this years success has kicked off, we'll be in the NC conversation every year. I’m still in shock how fast this happened.

The whole world is talking about us. Friend in Australia texted me about the game. It is crazy what some quality wins will do for Tennessee football and the fans!
My son wears UT gear all the time and never gets asked about UT. He gets asked a 1/2 dozen questions yesterday from coaches and people he bumped into. We live in NC.

How Tennessee Volunteers pulled off the upset vs Alabama Crimson Tide | The Block
I want to see this head to head stat again after next week. We are sure to put up good numbers against Martin. We could be outpacing one of the most prolific offenses in college football history going into the UK game.

The whole world is thanking us. Bama has been dominant during the Saban Era. They have been beaten, but not like this. They have dropped a game here, not won the NC there, lost a playoff game, but they have not lost like this. Rival field, last second, cigar smoke, Vol Navy, make them run for their lives fashion...and the thing is, we are the only team that could have done it. This Is one that they can't just shake off. The whole world was watching and they are thanking us.

Yes. Hopefully they drop another game this year. Hopefully this starts the slide that makes Saban retire soon. College football is growing weary of him.

The thing about the Bama game is that the team did not panic. In the past the scoop and score would have led to a meltdown. The composure of the team this year is incredible. As a fan watching, my stomach was in knots over the anxiety that a game like this brings - I keep waiting for the hammer to fall on us - but the resolve in coming back to tie the score after that miscue showed me this team is really good.

Get Tillman back. Incorporate Sampson as he makes progress learning this offense. Continue to grow in confidence and improve in every SEC game remaining

We have not reached The Matrix yet. But heaven help the defensive coordinators left on the schedule when we do.

Wear it proudly.
I live in SC here. I was on a dinner date Sunday night and some clown in a camo pullover on said I had some crap on my shirt (Power T) while walking by us at dinner.
On the way out, my lady had to use the restroom and I walked by his table. He had a lady friend with him. I mean, it wasn't his her fault, she just happened to be in the crosshairs. I told him he had some crap across from him at the table and then I very much enjoyed watching him being thrown out of The Cheesecake Factory like Ricky Bobby's daddy as I was paying the tab.

That Alabama win was monumental, in and of itself. Shot heard round the world. It will pay dividends for several years... Particularly in recruiting.

How fulfilling it was to watch Coach not take a knee with 15 seconds left.
As if....😂 with a senior signal caller and a good group of receivers with a couple of time outs... Superb execution by our QB to make our coach look good though. Because a quick turnover would have given them the ball right back for another kick...

Tennessee has been the beneficiary of incredibly fortuitous timing. We hired one of the most dynamic offensive minds and leader of young men right at the same time that NIL came on the scene and the portal basically allowed free agency. Tennessee was one of the first out of the gate realizing the potential of NIL with Spyre.
We basically caught the rest of CFB flat footed and stole one to two seasons of talent we normally would not have been in the running for. And we turned that talent over to maybe the best young coach in America. It was the perfect storm at the perfect time. That is what has allowed us to have the chance of going from the basement to the penthouse in less than 2 seasons. The normal 5 to 7 years it would take to rebuild a program as badly depleted as ours has been was shortened to a blink of the eye. And no other program in the country was poised to jump on the opportunity as we were. Hats off the AD White who saw a once in a lifetime opportunity to flip the script and who took the leap with gusto. We now have a world in which we can have access to top talent right at the same time that talent wants to come here and play for maybe the next GOAT.

LSU didn’t have to play 4 ranked teams during that time either

I beg to disagree. as I remember, A-barn beat them on a field goal attempt a few years ago. The same shocking loss just not quite the same way. But just the same beaten at the end of the game.
