I agree but that’s a customers pool and I don’t think they’ll go for it.
I didn’t build the pool itself. Just the restraining walls and patios.

The entire pool is back filled with 1/4 plus
6 inches of 1/4minus packed down then 2 in decomposed granite graded and packed. Stone locked together with Poly sand.
Back retaining wall is block with stacked stone.

Any underdrains to daylight? We got alot of clay soils here so you may not have to worry about that as much. I'm asking for my plans down the road a bit.

Read some posts here, looks like a perfect fit for my Sat project. I installed a belt drive garage door opener but did not realize it was for a 7 ft door... apparently I have an 8 ft door. So the door does not fully open... but no issues getting vehicles in. So, I bought an extension kit (ok... not that kind). Need to add that and then install a new belt drive on the second door. That’s my Saturday.

that was an estimate of where it needed to go. digging out and building a spot with pavers for it to sit on. then I'll sod that side of our yard
