Are Trex etc decks installed over wood posts and joists, or is the entire installation composite?

—To others: yes, I could certainly Google this, but there’s so much crap on Google. I have a list of health-related sources that I trust, but it’s mind-blowing how much BS is out there.
Wood.

@Orangeslice13 We recently got quotes for a new fence (we got them last year but never went through with it 🤦🏻‍♀️). About a week or so we got approval from the HOA for the project so we were going to go forward with one. I see lumber is going down. Should we wait?

Futures are going down. Canada, where we get most of our lumber is opening back up which means their backlog supply will be hitting the market real soon. A month to 6 weeks for suppliers to sell off what they overpaid for should bring us to the new normal. I’d wait and see where it goes for a month or 2.

Perfect timing. Our carpenter is booked until September, but then he’ll be able to take on the new deck and door from the sunroom.

Perfect, thank you!

Does your community have significant common property? Are you and your neighbors open to reducing the charter of or dissolving your HOA?

What type of fence?

Only ask because as weird as it sounds I like fences. Some cool ones out there.

What do we gotta do to get @VIF ,my unofficial brother, to return
I don't know. I tried once a couple of years after he left and he ...well, said he'd rather not. Lol. Mods gone mod.

I miss him and even though the kitchen witch didn't come around often I miss her too.

Genuinely good people. Bo, Diane, Rocky, Topper and Cooper. I think last time I talked to him one of the blues passed, Topper I believe.
