Seemed like a ton of work to get rid of it too. Lol. And, you lose a fireplace.Sounds like the chimney was terminally filled in with all those bricks. That’d be a ton of work to open it back up again, and then you’d have lost that expanded space.
I get it, I'm just saying I don't have alot of money, but I got more money than I do sense. I'm tearing down and rebuilding. Little, or alot like this....The fire place was incorrectly built to begin with. The flu was cracked and therefore unusable and the Struture was in danger of collapse. So it was tear down and rebuild or tear down and put in a beam remove the rest of the walls and go open concept. open concept was cheaper.
It will all be hardwood and level one open room when finished
That’s beautiful and I’d have saved it if it were mine in some capacity but it’s not a really large room. We turned 3 small almost unusable spaces and a entry way into on 22 by 25 roomI get it, I'm just saying I don't have alot of money, but I got more money than I do sense. Just so there is no misunderstanding of the way I said that. I meant that is what I'd like to do if in that predicament. That's not what I'm doing. That’s beautiful and I’d have saved it if it were mine in some capacity but it’s not a really large room. Yes if done properly@Orangeslice13
Can hardwood floors be installed over radiant heating? Seems like all I see is with it under tile, especially bathrooms.
Just curious; I’m not touching these hundred-year-old red oak floors.
