Yes, cherry cabinets. So it's a little dark, but I like the color.

I have a stack about that big too. From tearing down old steps into the house. Gonna build a outdoor fireplace with em. Or maybe just a firepit. Not sure yet. Gotta chip the concrete off of em too. That's a pain in the butt.

I don't think so. I just use a chisel and a regular claw hammer. Is a brick hammer akin to a board stretcher?

You can’t clean bricks with out one. I’ll post pictures of what you need in a minute

There are all kinds of hammers for all kinds of uses.

Back in the day, I worked with a guy who called hammers like this a "finishing hammer".

Yes.
Think of it as a chisel on a stick. Much faster and easier to work with
