Things built, torn down and other projects.(Pictures)

Im in Knoxville. Found one guy. For pulling up old floors, hauling off, installing new floors. New trim price is up there, but a LITTLE less than what I thought was gonna cost
Don't use mojo's pool boy, at least while your wife is home.

Doing so work on a 1940s house today there was a good chance the lumber came out of a saw mill thet was owned by her grandfather. I found and removed the “sign off” stud with her grandfathers name written on it.
I’m going to have to make something out of it
That's some allsomesauce right there!

We recently put in a pool. My wife asked me to transform the landscape around the pool into something nicer. With her architectural idea/description, this is the best I could come up with. Dug trenches around the pool leading the drains downward to the lower end of the back yard. Ripped up the grass, pinnded down weed control paper, filled with pebbles, and lined the area with leftover pool coping stone. The right side is unfinished, but it should be complete tomorrow evening. Left side is done along with section by skimmer. My back and shoulders FKN hurt. Luckily, I get to relax at work today. Ha! This is what she wanted for Christmas. @Orangeslice13 I know you are or were a home builder. Perhaps you can appreciate or bash my handiwork.

No bashing here.
I’m a fan of the Riverstone. Later when you decide where you’re most likely to walk you can put a flagstone path

I have been looking into some stepping stones to place along the gravel leading towards the pool steps. Years ago, my parents had circular petrified wood stepping stones around their pool that looked really neat.

@Orangeslice13 or anyone else for that matter. Know of any good and honest contractors in the middle Tennessee area (near Murfreesboro) that could give the wife and I a bid on approx. 400 sq ft addition and 300 sq ft remodel? Addition would be foundation to roof.

Unfortunately I do not know anyone in that area I can recommend. But I know a lot of people who might know someone. Let me ask around

Deciding between HBG RoughSawn fiberglass columns or just staining the KDAT hollow 6x6 columns. Front porch is gonna need some love and I don't particularly look forward to it.
