i don't know if you have been reading this thread, but this entire conversation is predicated on the notion that Selby starts at PG for us next year.

vol4eva just explained why, but I guess I'll do it anyways. Trae Golden was brought in the play PG after Selby decommitted last summer. Golden is combo guard and not a pure point, but has played enough of it that it would not be foreign to him. Golden would most likely back up Goins next season at PG.

Now, if we get Selby then Golden could play the 2 where he might be a little more comfortable playing at this time. Golden could back up Hopson at the 2.

SG- Hopson, Golden
SF- Tatum, Mcrae

Either way, Golden will get his share of minutes because he's way too good offensively to sit the bench. Would not surprise me if he comes in as our best 3 point shooter.

that's what i was asking, but he never responded. but did you read my post a few back? i explained why i thought it would work better the other way. regardless of if it happens or not, nobody on here can predict the future.

I must have missed it, but I'll go back and read it. And I agree, no one really knows what will actually happen.

it woud be preferable that woolridge improves enough that he can play SF. McRae projects better as a SG, and Golden projects better as a PG. It's less than ideal to have to shift them to another position after a year. Having said that, we have 2 PGs coming in the year after next. So we might run into the same situation. We have 3 true PGs, but one that might start out playing 2??

With Selby:

1- Selby, Goins
2-Hopson, Golden
3-Tatum, Mcrae
4-Harris, Maymon,Abraham(if we get him)
5- Hall, Williams, Abraham

Without Selby:

1-Goins, Golden
2- Hopson, Mcbee, Mcrae
3-Tatum, Mcrae, Harris
4-Harris, Maymon, Abraham
5-Hall, Williams, Abraham

We'd be stacked if we got Selby, and still very good without him. There's so many unknowns right now though. Does Hopson even stay? Do we land either Abraham or Selby or both?

Ok genius. I've had an XBOX for like 4 years, which my wife bought me, and I've played college football with VN posters who saw my tag on here.
