Things I Have Built

.this is a 3 sided climbing wall for rock climbing I built at a guys house. Walls are 6in x 1.5in tongue and groove (3 bucks a linear ft!) 8x8 posts...the beam mounted up top to hang a cargo net and climbing rope is 6in x 18in x 20ft treated PSL to give you an idea of scale. I had the beam left over from a complex i built so i gave it to him. Nice guy, he is one of the owners who builds the apartment complexes we build. His family owns a very popular chain of department stores in tenn. And NC that we have all shopped in at one time or another.i had to call for backup to set that beam up 12ft high...it took 6 of us, 3 on each end. Secured it with 8inch trusslok lags.

Most anything I've built the last 10 years has a purpose in my business... still in the Dark Ages when it comes to posting pictures on here but I will work on that so's I can share some of my creations... like my pallet-and-drum worktable at the Lab/Office/Warehouse.

I do a lot with pallets.

Which is awesome. You can collect them and sell em back for 5 bucks each if they are standard size in Charlotte, I never have though...the hardwood ones that are old are amazingly dense wood, not sure how it cures like that, but I have been swinging a hammer for 26 years...I don't fold nails..I folded several building those shelves for my wife. That stuff was like Brazilian cherry flooring I have laid, dense as lead. My house was built in 1916, old mill house...2x4 walls are 2in roughly x 4in, roughly...I sheeted every as wall with osb before I replaced the siding, it was 100 year old pine, but was as hard as oak...built without electricity or nail guns. Hand drive 3.5 inch sinkers...those guys were badarses

I mostly use them to ship my products but I used a couple nice ones as a base for a table that dominates my main workspace. I'll post a picture or two before long but probably not before my trip to Alaska next month, sweating having things under control enough to go away for a week without things cratering on me.

The one pictured should hold close to 20 pairs. If someone needed more than 2, they might have shoe buying issues. Check with Slice, he seems like a decent guy that would probably offer some type of friends & family discount for multiple racks

I’d probably fill 2 with sandals and dress shoes.

True story.

I have a shoe problem.
In that I can’t stop buying them. I’ll post pictures later.

Walk-in closet
(I built the shelfs and the closet)

Lol, that's too funny.

I have a strange fascination for lack of a better term, with flip flops. Not gonna post a pic but I just counted 23 pairs.

Built this gem from scrap laying around. Back lit with short strand of Christmas tree lights. Whitewashed the wood. Several people that come by my office have asked me to make them and sell. Wouldn’t know how much to sell for. Also made the runway taxi light.
