Things I'm happy about today

Chivalry is dead. Haven't you heard?
I wasn't looking for him to take my niece's favor to the next jousting tournament. I just could not believe that he stood there like a statue and did not make a move to help the customers.

To make this a thread compliant happy post I'll add that the bacon, egg & hashbrown casserole bowl was quite tasty and generous enough in portion size that I made two meals of it.

@95 Vol Alum will be VERY disappointed to read this.

Just how little a boy are you? I ain't never asked for no carry home container for breakfest

I went to CB Sunday. First time in a long time. My niece picked the place. The 'host' who was positioned just outside the front door on the porch was a young fella. He had a tablet on a lectern and would take your name for the wait list. That's all he did. He would just stare at the tablet with head down until someone walked up and gave him a name. This guy was literally within arm's reach of the door and never made a move to open it for anyone. Is this standard procedure at CB? WTF?
Why are you surprised? #ME attitude is the norm now, not the rare occurrence.

I really felt like nobody told this person to consider opening the door for people when not actually taking a name or checking wait times. He was plainly oblivious and I felt a little bad for him although I don't know why.

Go back in a month - I bet he wont be there (not fired but quit - the turnover at places seems common)

Y'all freakin' kill me. Since he just stared at the tablet, maybe he's a little socially awkward? Maybe he was having a bad day? Maybe he had just been bitched at by a rude customer that thought he should be the door man too?

Bitch cause people don't work. Bitch cause they do and don't do it to your satisfaction. Killin' me!

Talk about me for a while and take your energy and attitude off the kid. Have a good day.

The socially awkward thing I could buy, but then why stick him out there front of house? Who makes that decision? The place seemed to be well staffed. I stood out there for a bit before we were seated and even longer after we finished as I waited for some family members to make their way through the gift shop/restrooms. We spent over an hour at the table (party of 14, so it understandably took awhile). The situation was the same before and after. Maybe he took a scolding just before I arrived, but it's hard to imagine that it was still affecting him an hour and half later. Like I posted previously, I don't think this person was taught/trained to exercise basic courtesy. Hopefully, someone in his management team will help him.

agree with the rude customer thing - its become common since the lockdowns and I really dont get why people are acting so entitled since it happened

Used to be called common courtesy. Guess I'm getting old. People walk up to a door I am going in or out of I open it for them. Especially folks a little older or females. Since you posted your picture, I'll mark you down as someone that would prefer being ignored.

SMDH.

The customer is the customer. You don't stop doing your job or being courteous because of an a-hole. If I did that at my job I would just quit and go home.
