My ice maker motor in my refrigerator won’t start to expel the ice out the door. I don’t think it’s the motor, think it’s probably the same thing you had, actuator or solenoid. Before it quit working altogether it would work intermittently and whenever the motor started it would keep running until you let up on the lever. How much you charge to fix it for me bro? 🙂

H, gimme the make & model. Is it still making ice & dropping it in the bin? If not, its the ice maker it self.
I can get it going for ya. Charge for you my friend would be $0.00

@vollygirl - happens a lot with Kenmore's (Whirlpool). You have to keep the door open or unplug it to keep it from running. Does it shut off ok & does it beep when it starts by itself?

I gotta cut grass now. Back in a lil while

It usually shuts off. Sometimes it will hang at 13 minutes, or 17. And it does beep when it starts up.

Brand name is Frigidaire. Yes it makes ice like crazy. If we want ice we have to reach in the bin and get it out by hand. Here is the tag inside…

Your ice maker is good. Something is causing the door not to open. There could be several things to cause it not to dispense ice. Top video explains.

2nd video shows how to thaw & other stuff. Not sure if this applies to you but there's a lot of happy folks in the comments.

I'm familiar with everything in both videos. I have a multi meter & all the tools. If you need me to come by & take a look at it, just let me know. We can get you ice from the door again

Sounds great! I think the switch to start the motor is probably bad or the solenoid. The door to let the ice out opens and closes when you push on the pedal on the front of the door. Problem is the motor doesn’t start up when you push the pedal part. I will text you with my number and I would love to have you look at it.
