Things I'm happy about today

The military is built on greater good above the individual. I have zero qualms with mandates in this manner.

And I’m going to straight block anyone that counters some ridiculous “slippery slope” argument. There’s a place where that applies. Not here though IMO.
My tipping point honestly was St. Jude. If they made the decision that was the best way to protect all involved, I feel confident it is wise.

Anyone that has ever been in the military already has already the greater good mindset ingrained. Like I said, I was hesitant at first, but I had to think of the ramifications of both employees and residents continue to object to receiving the vaccine. It’s not worth watching what I saw last winter have a repeat.

Unfortunately not “anyone”. Most I’d say, but not all

I’ve changed my stance on employers requiring the vaccine for employment. I was really hesitant at first, because of individual rights, but the good outweighs the bad here. The majority of our staff has refused it and we have a handful of residents that have also. I suggested incentives to get our numbers up.
I don't have issue with employers requiring it as I feel their intentions are for the most part protecting their staff, customers, patients, etc. To me, it's no different than any other policies in place. You don't like it, leave. Each are making their own choices.

With as many shots the military requires now (especially if you deploy), we should be immune to most anything and/or develop superpowers.
