Things I'm happy about today

I'm not as big a fan as I was, but I still enjoy it. I used to drive to Atlanta from Kentucky, and to Cincinnati to watch the braves play. Watching Greg Maddox pitch was like watching art to me. I loved Smoltz, Glavine, and Avery also, but Maddox was the man.
Yes sir, that's why I named my dog after him :p I don't care...he was a Cub first!

I will say also, that even though I wasn't a fan of their teams, there was players I loved. Tony gywnn, Andre Dawson, curt Schilling, Ken Griffey Jr, Nolan Ryan, Orel Hershiser, canseco, McGuire, Darrell strawberry, I could go on.

So did I. I can still look back fondly on the memories, more so than the man himself. The '98 home run race was the most memorable summer of my entire life.
It made baseball so much fun. You couldn't help but tune in every night to watch, or see updates. I remember cameras flashing all over the stadiums during those games.

Ok, well THAT was a new ad for me. I used to have to code it, but I didn’t think I’d be seeing an ad for it...

My first two were summer babies (end of May and end of August). While waddling around trying to get comfortable, since I didn’t watch soaps or Oprah, I watched the Cubs on WGN, who played only in daytime AS GOD MEANT IT TO BE. @CubsFanTN

And since I’d been to Fenway Park several times while visiting now-former in-laws, I watched the Red Sox when I had to resort to AL games.

And then in SF, when he had access to Da Suite (Hubs’ employer), I followed Los Gigantes, who are five games in front in NL West but do not exist on TV in the East.

Just sort of fell into it.

I have really enjoyed listening to the Giants radio broadcasts and having the tv broadcasts as well. They have great announcers. Jon Miller did the Orioles broadcasts when I lived in the DMV, and I was stoked when I moved to SF and heard him on the Giants broadcasts. I had no idea he had moved back to the bay.
